²⁸But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first, and said, ‘Son, go work today in my vineyard.’

²⁹He answered, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he changed his mind, and went.

³⁰He came to the second, and said the same thing. He answered, ‘I’m going, sir,’ but he didn’t go.

³¹Which of the two did the will of his father?”

³²For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you didn’t believe him; but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him. When you saw it, you didn’t even repent afterward, that you might believe him.

²⁸എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങൾക്കു എന്തു തോന്നുന്നു? ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്നു രണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ ഒന്നാമത്തവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു: മകനേ ഇന്നു എന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ പോയി വേല ചെയ്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

²⁹എനിക്കു മനസ്സില്ല എന്നു അവൻ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു; എങ്കിലും പിന്നത്തേതിൽ അനുതപിച്ചു അവൻ പോയി.

³²യോഹന്നാൻ നീതിമാർഗ്ഗം ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല; എന്നാൽ ചുങ്കക്കാരും വേശ്യമാരും അവനെ വിശ്വസിച്ചു; അതു കണ്ടിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ വിശ്വസിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം പിന്നത്തേതിൽ അനുതപിച്ചില്ല.
