St. George Indian Orthodox Church, Brisbane, from its establishment in 2007, has been giving importance for social well-being by providing benevolent activities. SGIOC Charity Committee was established in 2014 to enhance the charity activities of the Parish. The charity committee has been facilitating financial assistance to the needy as per the guidelines of the General Body of the parish.

SGIOC Charity Committee have given thousands of dollars for various reasons and this fund is raised from among the generous members of the Church through their birthday & wedding anniversary offerings and some general donations.
