QLD Regional Youth Camp 2026 – “ASCENT”

The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church’s Asia-Pacific Diocese Assistant Metropolitan, H.G. Dr. Yuhanon Mar Diascoros Metropolitan, officially launched the poster for the QLD Regional Youth Camp 2026, organised by MGOCSM–OCYM Asia-Pacific.

The camp, themed “ASCENT”, carries the message “The Journey: Rooted in Faith”, drawing inspiration from Colossians 2:6–7 – “Walk in Him, Rooted and Built Up in Him.” The theme reflects a call for young people to deepen their spiritual foundations while striving towards greater commitment and growth in Christ.

The three-day regional camp will be held from 9–11 April 2026 at PGL Kindilan Camp, Queensland. The program is set to include worship sessions, Bible reflections, interactive workshops, team-building activities, and fellowship opportunities aimed at strengthening faith and unity among youth across the state.

Following the diocesan-level launch by H.G. Dr. Yuhanon Mar Diascoros Metropolitan, a roadshow across all Queensland parishes has commenced. During Sunday services, parish vicars formally unveiled the poster in their respective churches, encouraging youth to register and actively participate in the camp.

Organisers from MGOCSM–OCYM Asia-Pacific have expressed confidence that “ASCENT” will serve as a transformative spiritual journey for participants, fostering leadership, discipleship, and deeper engagement within the Church community.
