Heartfelt Christmas Carol Service at St George Indian Orthodox Church Brisbane

Over the past five weeks, the St George Indian Orthodox Church (SGIOC) in Brisbane has been immersed in the joyous celebration of its annual Christmas Carol services, culminating in a heartfelt finale on Saturday, November 30th, 2024. The event was a beautiful testament to faith, community, and the spirit of Christmas.

A bittersweet moment marked the final day of the service as the Vicar, Rev. Liju Samuel, announced that this would be his last Christmas Carol service with SGIOC Brisbane. Having completed his third year with the church, Rev. Liju expressed his gratitude to the congregation for their unwavering support and active participation throughout his tenure. His heartfelt words resonated deeply, leaving a lasting impact on all present.

Christmas Carol Service Coordinator, Ivan Ommen, also took the opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this celebration.
