Holy Qurbana by Rev. Fr. Sujin Varghese Mappila at St. George Church, Brisbane - February 2025

On 2nd February 2025, Rev. Fr. Sujin Varghese Mappila, the vicar of St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church in Melbourne, celebrated the Holy Qurbana at St. George Indian Orthodox Church in Brisbane. This special service took place on the First Sunday of the month, known as White Sunday, where everyone attended dressed in white.

It was the first time that Fr. Sujin led the Holy Qurbana at this Brisbane parish, making the occasion even more memorable. The service also featured a prayer for the intercession of St. Mary, which Fr. Sujin led, inviting the congregation to come together in devotion. The White Sunday tradition was observed by the faithful, creating an atmosphere of unity and reverence.

Following the Holy Qurbana, the congregation participated in a fellowship gathering, further strengthening their spiritual bonds. This celebration highlighted the strong ties between the Indian Orthodox communities of Melbourne and Brisbane.
