Kappa Biriyani Sale by MMVS Team a Delicious Success!

Brisbane, 19 October 2025 — The Marth Mariam Vanitha Samajam (MMVS) team of St George Indian Orthodox Church, Brisbane held a highly successful Kappa Biriyani Sale today as part of their fundraising efforts for the church.

The event saw an overwhelming response from parish members and families, with most of the meals sold through pre-orders even before the day began. The MMVS team worked enthusiastically to prepare and distribute the much-loved Kerala delicacy — a perfect blend of spiced meat curry served with steamed tapioca (kappa) — much to the delight of everyone who participated.

The sale turned into more than just a fundraising effort; it was a beautiful example of teamwork, fellowship, and community spirit. Many members volunteered their time and skills to ensure smooth preparation, packaging, and delivery, while others supported through generous orders and contributions.

The MMVS team extended their heartfelt thanks to all who participated, supported, and encouraged the initiative. The funds raised will go towards supporting church development and community projects, continuing the mission and service of St George Indian Orthodox Church within the Brisbane community.
