OVBS 2024 at St. George Indian Orthodox Church, Brisbane – 19th to 22nd September

St. George Indian Orthodox Church in Brisbane is hosting an exciting and spiritually enriching event, OVBS (Orthodox Vacation Bible School) 2024, which will run from the 19th to the 22nd of September. The event, based on the theme of prayer (Luke 11:1 - "Let Us Pray"), promises four days filled with engaging activities for all participants.

Day 1 (Blue) The event kicks off with the registration, flag hoisting, and traditional prayers, followed by a motivational talk and Bible class. The day will include creative activities like pot painting and planting, along with song sessions to keep the energy high. The day concludes with a communal lunch.

Day 2 (Yellow) On the second day, participants can look forward to more interactive activities, including face painting. The schedule mirrors Day 1 with motivational talks, Bible classes, and songs, but also adds a practice session for the upcoming valedictory function.

Day 3 (Green) The third day promises an energetic and fun-filled experience with a mix of prayer, song sessions, and Zumba. Games and interactive sessions will make this day particularly engaging, while preparations continue for the valedictory function.

Day 4 (White or Black & White) The final day will begin with a Holy Qurbana, followed by a reflection of the entire event. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their talents and learnings from OVBS 2024. The event wraps up with a report presentation, a vote of thanks, and a flag-lowering ceremony.

This four-day event is expected to inspire and strengthen the faith of all who attend, making OVBS 2024 an impactful experience for the community.
