Palm Sunday Service 2025 | St. George Indian Orthodox Church Brisbane

Brisbane, 12 April 2025 – The congregation of St. George Indian Orthodox Church, located at 479 Mt. Petrie Road, Mackenzie, Brisbane, is all set to observe Palm Sunday (Hosanna) tomorrow, 13 April 2025, with a spiritually uplifting programme.

The service will be led by H G Dr. Yuhanon Mar Dioscoros, Metropolitan, who will serve as the Chief Celebrant. The day's schedule begins with Morning Prayer at 7:15 am, followed by the Palm Sunday Service and Holy Qurbana at 8:15 am. The event will conclude with a communal breakfast at 11:30 am, offering a chance for fellowship among attendees.

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week and commemorates the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. Worshippers are expected to gather in large numbers to participate in the procession and liturgy, carrying palm leaves and joining in traditional hymns.
