Passion Week 2025 Schedule at St. George Indian Orthodox Church, Brisbane

Brisbane, QLD – St. George Indian Orthodox Church, located at 479 Mt. Petrie Rd, Mackenzie, Brisbane, has announced its schedule for Passion Week 2025, with services led by the Chief Celebrant, H.G Dr. Yuhanon Mar Diascoros Metropolitan.

The Passion Week commemorates the final days of Jesus Christ, including His crucifixion, death, and resurrection, and holds immense significance for the Christian faithful. The schedule includes a series of spiritually enriching services to mark these sacred days.

Passion Week Schedule:

13 April (Sunday) – Palm Sunday Service & HQ at 7:30 am
- Commemorating Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
16 April (Wednesday) – Maundy Thursday Service & HQ at 6:00 pm
- Remembering the Last Supper and the institution of the Holy Eucharist.
17 April (Thursday) – Feet Washing Service at 4:00 pm
- Reenacting Jesus washing the feet of His disciples.
18 April (Friday) – Good Friday Service at 7:30 am
- Reflecting on the crucifixion and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
19 April (Saturday Morning) – Gospel Saturday Service & HQ at 9:00 am
- Celebrating the day of Christ’s entombment and descent into Hades.
19 April (Saturday Evening) – Easter Service & HQ at 6:00 pm
- Joyfully celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
