Pentecost 2025 Celebrated at St. George Indian Orthodox Church, Brisbane

Brisbane, 8 June 2025 — The faithful of St. George Indian Orthodox Church in Brisbane gathered in prayerful unity to celebrate the blessed Feast of Pentecost, marking the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles. The spiritually uplifting service was led by our beloved Vicar, Rev. Fr. Liju Samuel.

Held on Sunday, 8th June 2025, the service brought together parishioners in deep reverence and reflection, as we welcomed the Holy Spirit with open hearts. Through Scripture, hymns, and heartfelt prayers, the community rejoiced in the divine presence, renewing their commitment to walk in faith and love.

"Pentecost reminds us that the Church is alive and moving through the power of the Holy Spirit," said Rev. Fr. Liju Samuel during his sermon. "Let us continue to seek His guidance in our lives and strengthen our bond as a faith community."

The celebration also featured special prayers invoking the Spirit’s gifts of wisdom, strength, and unity, as the congregation stood together as one body in Christ.
