Rev. Fr. Liju Samuel Represents Indian Orthodox Community at Brisbane Diocese Centre Opening

Brisbane, December 6, 2024 — Rev. Fr. Liju Samuel, the vicar of St. George Indian Orthodox Church in Brisbane, had the honour of representing the Indian Orthodox community at the opening of the newly established Brisbane Diocese Centre for the Greek Orthodox Church today.

The event, which marked a significant milestone for the Greek Orthodox community in the region, was attended by key church leaders, including His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia and His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane. Rev. Fr. Liju Samuel was welcomed warmly by both archbishops, as he joined in the celebrations and offered his heartfelt congratulations to the Greek Orthodox faithful on the opening of the new diocese centre.

Speaking on the occasion, Fr.
