Tri-Mass Celebrated at St George Indian Orthodox Church, Brisbane

Brisbane, 27 October 2023 – The St George Indian Orthodox Church (SGIOC) in Brisbane recently hosted a spiritually uplifting event, the 'Tri-Mass', on October 27. The special service was led by three distinguished priests, bringing together former and current leaders of the parish in a show of unity and faith.

The Tri-Mass was celebrated by:

• Rev. Fr. Jacks Jacob, former vicar of SGIOC
• Rev. Fr. Liju Samuel, current vicar of SGIOC
• Rev. Fr. Nikhil Alex Tharakan, vicar of St Mary’s Indian Orthodox Church, Sydney

This special gathering of clergy was organised in conjunction with the wedding celebrations of Akash Jacob, son of long-standing SGIOC member Ebby Jacob. The Tri-Mass service was a rare occasion for parishioners, offering them a unique chance to experience a multi-priest liturgical celebration. The event was marked by heartfelt prayers, hymns, and a deep sense of community spirit, with attendees expressing joy and gratitude for the presence of all three revered priests.
