⁴¹Jesus sat down opposite the treasury and saw how the multitude cast money into the treasury. Many who were rich cast in much.

⁴²A poor widow came and she cast in two small brass coins, which equal a quadrans coin.

⁴³He called his disciples to himself and said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, this poor widow gave more than all those who are giving into the treasury,

⁴⁴for they all gave out of their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, gave all that she had to live on.”

⁴¹പിന്നെ യേശു ശ്രീഭണ്ഡാരത്തിന്നു നേരെ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ പുരുഷാരം ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിൽ പണം ഇടുന്നതു നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; ധനവാന്മാർ പലരും വളരെ ഇട്ടു.

⁴²ദരിദ്രയായ ഒരു വിധവ വന്നു ഒരു പൈസകൂ ശരിയായ രണ്ടു കാശ് ഇട്ടു.

⁴³അപ്പോൾ അവൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ അടുക്കൽ വിളിച്ചു: ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിൽ ഇട്ട എല്ലാവരെക്കാളും ഈ ദരിദ്രയായ വിധവ അധികം ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

⁴⁷He was teaching daily in the temple, but the chief priests, the scribes, and the leading men among the people sought to destroy him.

⁴⁸They couldn’t find what they might do, for all the people hung on to every word that he said.

¹On one of those days, as he was teaching the people in the temple and preaching the Good News, the priests and scribes came to him with the elders.

²They asked him, “Tell us: by what authority do you do these things? Or who is giving you this authority?”

³He answered them, “I also will ask you one question. Tell me:

⁴the baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men?”

⁵They reasoned with themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Why didn’t you believe him?’

⁶But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us, for they are persuaded that John was a prophet.”

⁷They answered that they didn’t know where it was from.

⁸Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

⁴⁷അവൻ ദിവസേന ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ഉപദേശിച്ചുപോന്നു; എന്നാൽ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും ജനത്തിൽ പ്രധാനികളായവരും അവനെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാൻ തക്കം നോക്കി.

⁴⁸എങ്കിലും ജനം എല്ലാം അവന്റെ വചനം കേട്ടു രഞ്ജിച്ചിരിക്കയാൽ എന്തു ചെയ്യേണ്ടു എന്നു അവർ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല.

¹ആ ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നിൽ അവൻ ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ജനത്തോടു ഉപദേശിച്ചു സുവിശേഷം അറിയിക്കുമ്പോൾ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരുമായി അടുത്തു വന്നു അവനോടു:

²നീ എന്തു അധികാരംകൊണ്ടു ഇതു ചെയ്യുന്നു? ഈ അധികാരം നിനക്കു തന്നതു ആർ? ഞങ്ങളോടു പറക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

³അതിന്നു ഉത്തരമായി അവൻ : ഞാനും നിങ്ങളോടു ഒരു വാക്കു ചോദിക്കും; അതു എന്നോടു പറവിൻ .

⁴യോഹന്നാന്റെ സ്നാനം സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നോ മനുഷ്യരിൽനിന്നോ ഉണ്ടായതു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

⁵അവർ തമ്മിൽ നിരൂപിച്ചു: സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ പിന്നെ നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ വിശ്വസിക്കാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു അവൻ ചോദിക്കും.

⁶മനുഷ്യരിൽനിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാലോ ജനം ഒക്കെയും യോഹന്നാൻ ഒരു പ്രവാചകൻ എന്നു ഉറെച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു നമ്മെ കല്ലെറിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു:

⁷എവിടെനിന്നോ ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

⁸യേശു അവരോടു: എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ഇതു ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഇന്ന അധികാരം കൊണ്ടാകുന്നു എന്നുള്ളതു ഞാനും നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁷Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, far away from the camp, and he called it “The Tent of Meeting.” Everyone who sought Yahweh went out to the Tent of Meeting, which was outside the camp.

⁸When Moses went out to the Tent, all the people rose up, and stood, everyone at their tent door, and watched Moses, until he had gone into the Tent.

⁹When Moses entered into the Tent, the pillar of cloud descended, stood at the door of the Tent, and Yahweh spoke with Moses.

¹⁰All the people saw the pillar of cloud stand at the door of the Tent, and all the people rose up and worshiped, everyone at their tent door.

¹¹Yahweh spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. He turned again into the camp, but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, didn’t depart from the Tent.

⁷മോശെ കൂടാരം എടുത്തു പാളയത്തിന്നു പുറത്തു പാളയത്തിൽനിന്നു ദൂരത്തു അടിച്ചു; അതിന്നു സമാഗമനക്കുടാരം എന്നു പേർ ഇട്ടു. യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവനെല്ലാം പുറപ്പെട്ടു പാളയത്തിന്നു പുറത്തുള്ള സമാഗമന കൂടാരത്തിലേക്കു ചെന്നു.

⁸മോശെ കൂടാരത്തിലേക്കു പോകുമ്പോൾ ജനം ഒക്കെയും എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഒരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ കൂടാരവാതിൽക്കൽ നിന്നു, മോശെ കൂടാരത്തിന്നകത്തു കടക്കുവേളം അവനെ നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

⁹മോശെ കൂടാരത്തിൽ കടക്കുമ്പോൾ മേഘസ്തംഭം ഇറങ്ങി കൂടാരവാതിൽക്കൽ നിൽക്കയും യഹോവ മോശെയോടു സംസാരിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

¹⁰ജനം എല്ലാം കൂടാരവാതിൽക്കൽ മേഘസ്തംഭം നിലക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു. ജനം എല്ലാം എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഔരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ കൂടാരവാതിൽക്കൽവെച്ചു നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

¹¹ഒരുത്തൻ തന്റെ സ്നേഹിതനോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു പോലെ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അഭിമുഖമായി സംസാരിച്ചു. പിന്നെ അവൻ പാളയത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നു; അവന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരനായ നൂന്റെ പുത്രനായ യോശുവ എന്ന ബാല്യക്കാരനോ കൂടാരത്തെ വിട്ടുപിരിയാതിരുന്നു.

²²Solomon stood before Yahweh’s altar in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven;

²³and he said, “Yahweh, the God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above, or on earth beneath; who keeps covenant and loving kindness with your servants who walk before you with all their heart;

²⁴who has kept with your servant David my father that which you promised him. Yes, you spoke with your mouth, and have fulfilled it with your hand, as it is today.

²⁵Now therefore, may Yahweh, the God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father that which you have promised him, saying, ‘There shall not fail from you a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your children take heed to their way, to walk before me as you have walked before me.’

²⁶“Now therefore, God of Israel, please let your word be verified, which you spoke to your servant David my father.

²⁷But will God in very deed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens can’t contain you; how much less this house that I have built!

²⁸Yet have respect for the prayer of your servant and for his supplication, Yahweh my God, to listen to the cry and to the prayer which your servant prays before you today;

²⁹that your eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which you have said, ‘My name shall be there;’ to listen to the prayer which your servant prays toward this place.

³⁰Listen to the supplication of your servant, and of your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Yes, hear in heaven, your dwelling place; and when you hear, forgive.

³¹“If a man sins against his neighbor, and an oath is laid on him to cause him to swear, and he comes and swears before your altar in this house,

³²then hear in heaven, and act, and judge your servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way on his own head, and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.

³³“When your people Israel are struck down before the enemy because they have sinned against you, if they turn again to you and confess your name, and pray and make supplication to you in this house,

³⁴then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of your people Israel, and bring them again to the land which you gave to their fathers.

³⁵“When the sky is shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against you, if they pray toward this place and confess your name, and turn from their sin when you afflict them,

³⁶then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of your servants, and of your people Israel, when you teach them the good way in which they should walk; and send rain on your land which you have given to your people for an inheritance.

³⁷“If there is famine in the land, if there is pestilence, if there is blight, mildew, locust or caterpillar; if their enemy besieges them in the land of their cities, whatever plague, whatever sickness there is,

³⁸whatever prayer and supplication is made by any man, or by all your people Israel, who shall each know the plague of his own heart, and spread out his hands toward this house,

³⁹then hear in heaven, your dwelling place, and forgive, and act, and give to every man according to all his ways, whose heart you know (for you, even you only, know the hearts of all the children of men);

⁴⁰that they may fear you all the days that they live in the land which you gave to our fathers.

²²അനന്തരം ശലോമോൻ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിൻ മുമ്പിൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സർവ്വസഭയുടെയും സമക്ഷത്തു നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു ആകാശത്തിലേക്കു കൈ മലർത്തി പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

²³യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാർക്കായി നിയമവും ദയയും പാലിക്കുന്ന നിന്നെപ്പോലെ മീതെ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും താഴെ ഭൂമിയിലും യാതൊരു ദൈവവും ഇല്ല.

²⁴നീ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്നു ചെയ്ത വാഗ്ദാനം പാലിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; തിരുവായ്കൊണ്ടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു ഇന്നു കാണുംപോലെ തൃക്കൈകൊണ്ടു നിർവത്തിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

²⁵ആകയാൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസനോടു: നീ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടന്നതുപോലെ നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം തങ്ങളുടെ വഴി സൂക്ഷിക്കമാത്രം ചെയ്താൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിപ്പാൻ നിനക്കു ഒരു പുരുഷൻ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇല്ലാതെവരികയില്ല എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതു നിവർത്തിക്കേണമേ.

²⁶ഇപ്പോൾ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസനോടു നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം ഒത്തുവരുമാറാകട്ടെ.

²⁷എന്നാൽ ദൈവം യഥാർത്ഥമായി ഭൂമിയിൽ വസിക്കുമോ? സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും സ്വർഗ്ഗാധിസ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും നീ അടങ്ങുകയില്ലല്ലോ; പിന്നെ ഞാൻ പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിൽ അടങ്ങുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

²⁸എങ്കിലും എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അടിയൻ ഇന്നു തിരുമുമ്പിൽ കഴിക്കുന്ന നിലവിളയും പ്രാർത്ഥനയും കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അടിയന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയിലേക്കും യാചനയിലേക്കും തിരിഞ്ഞു കടാക്ഷിക്കേണമേ.

²⁹അടിയൻ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു കഴിക്കുന്ന പ്രാർത്ഥന കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ നാമം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുമെന്നു നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത സ്ഥലമായ ഈ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു രാവും പകലും തൃക്കൺപാർത്തരുളേണമേ,

³⁰ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്ന അടിയന്റെയും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും യാചന കേൾക്കേണമേ. നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കേൾക്കേണമേ; കേട്ടു ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ.

³¹ഒരുത്തൻ തന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു കുറ്റം ചെയ്കയും അവൻ അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു സത്യം ചെയ്യിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു കാര്യം സത്യത്തിന്നു വെക്കുകയും അവൻ ഈ ആലയത്തിൽ നിന്റെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നു മുമ്പാകെ വന്നു സത്യം ചെയ്കയും ചെയ്താൽ

³²നീ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കേട്ടു പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു, ദുഷ്ടന്റെ നടപ്പു അവന്റെ തലമേൽ വരുത്തി അവനെ ശിക്ഷിപ്പാനും നീതിമാന്റെ നീതിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം അവന്നു നല്കി അവനെ നീതീകരിപ്പാനും അടിയങ്ങൾക്കു ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുതരേണമേ.

³³നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേൽ നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയകനിമിത്തം അവർ ശത്രുവിനോടു തോറ്റിട്ടു നിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ സ്വീകരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ഈ ആലയത്തിൽവെച്ചു നിന്നോടു പ്രാർ്ത്ഥിക്കയും യാചിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ

³⁴നീ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കേട്ടു നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പാപം ക്ഷമിച്ചു അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കും കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തേക്കു അവരെ മടക്കിവരുത്തേണമേ.

³⁵അവർ നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു ആകാശം അടഞ്ഞു മഴപെയ്യാതിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവർ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ സ്വീകരിക്കയും നീ അവരെ താഴ്ത്തിയതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുതരികയും ചെയ്താൽ

³⁶നീ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കേട്ടു നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെയും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും പാപം ക്ഷമിച്ചു, അ:വർ നടക്കേണ്ടുന്ന നല്ല വഴി അവരെ ഉപദേശിക്കയും നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു അവകാശമായി കൊടുത്ത നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു മഴ പെയ്യിക്കയും ചെയ്യേണമേ.

³⁷ദേശത്തു ക്ഷാമമോ മഹാമാരിയോ വെൺകതിർ, വിഷമഞ്ഞു, വെട്ടുക്കിളി, തുള്ളൻ എന്നിവയോ ഉണ്ടായാൽ അവരുടെ ശത്രു അവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളുള്ള ദേശത്തു അവരെ നിരോധിച്ചാൽ വല്ല വ്യാധിയോ വല്ല ദീനമോ ഉണ്ടായാൽ യാതൊരുത്തനെങ്കിലും

³⁸നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേൽ മുഴുവനെങ്കിലും വല്ല പ്രാർത്ഥനയും യാചനയും കഴിക്കയും ഔരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ മന:പീഡ അറിഞ്ഞു ഈ ആലയത്തിങ്കലേക്കു കൈ മലർത്തുകയും ചെയ്താൽ

³⁹നീ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കേട്ടു ക്ഷമിക്കയും

⁴⁰ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കും നീ കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തു അവർ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും കാലത്തൊക്കെയും നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ ഔരോരുത്തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അറിയുന്നതുപോലെ ഔരാരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ നടപ്പുപോലെയൊക്കെയും ചെയ്തരുളേണമേ; നീ മാത്രമല്ലോ സകലമനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരുടെയും ഹൃദയത്തെ അറിയുന്നതു.

¹“Hey! Come, everyone who thirsts, to the waters!

²Why do you spend money for that which is not bread,

³Turn your ear, and come to me.

⁴Behold, I have given him for a witness to the peoples,

⁵Behold, you shall call a nation that you don’t know;

⁶Seek Yahweh while he may be found.

⁷Let the wicked forsake his way,

⁸“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

⁹“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,

¹⁰For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky,

¹¹so is my word that goes out of my mouth:

¹²For you shall go out with joy,

¹³Instead of the thorn the cypress tree will come up;

¹അല്ലയോ, ദാഹിക്കുന്ന ഏവരും ദ്രവ്യമില്ലാത്തവരുമായുള്ളോരേ വെള്ളത്തിന്നു വരുവിൻ ‍: വന്നു വാങ്ങി തിന്നുവിൻ ‍; നിങ്ങൾ വന്നു ദ്രവ്യവും വിലയും കൂടാതെ വീഞ്ഞും പാലും വാങ്ങിക്കൊൾവിൻ ‍

²അപ്പമല്ലാത്തതിന്നു ദ്രവ്യവും തൃപ്തിവരുത്താത്തതിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രയത്നഫലവും ചെലവിടുന്നതെൻ തിന്നു? എന്റെ വാക്കു ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു കേട്ടു നന്മ അനുഭവിപ്പിൻ പുഷ്ടഭോജനം കഴിച്ചു മോദിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ ‍

³നിങ്ങൾ ചെവി ചായിച്ചു എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുവിൻ ‍; നിങ്ങൾക്കു ജീവനുണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നു കേട്ടുകൊൾവിൻ ‍; ദാവീദിന്റെ നിശ്ചലകൃപകൾ എന്ന ഒരു ശാശ്വത നിയമം ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്യും

⁴ഞാൻ അവനെ ജാതികൾക്കു സാക്ഷിയും വംശങ്ങൾക്കു പ്രഭുവും അധിപതിയും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു

⁵നീ അറിയാത്ത ഒരു ജാതിയെ നീ വിളിക്കും; നിന്നെ അറിയാത്ത ഒരു ജാതി നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവനിമിത്തവും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധൻ ‍നിമിത്തവും അവൻ നിന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കയാൽ തന്നേ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഔടിവരും

⁶യഹോവയെ കണ്ടേത്താകുന്ന സമയത്തു അവനെ അൻ വേഷിപ്പിൻ ‍; അവൻ അടുത്തിരിക്കുൻ പോൾ അവനെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിപ്പിൻ ‍

⁷ദുഷ്ടൻ തന്റെ വഴിയെയും നീതികെട്ടവൻ തന്റെ വിചാരങ്ങളെയും ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു യഹോവയിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിയട്ടെ; അവൻ അവനോടു കരുണകാണിക്കും; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിയട്ടെ; അവൻ ധാരാളം ക്ഷമിക്കും

⁸എന്റെ വിചാരങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ വിചാരങ്ങൾ അല്ല; നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴികൾ എന്റെ വഴികളുമല്ല എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു

⁹ആകാശം ഭൂമിക്കുമീതെ ഉയർ‍ന്നിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ എന്റെ വഴികൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴികളിലും എന്റെ വിചാരങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ വിചാരങ്ങളിലും ഉയർ‍ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു

¹⁰മഴയും ഹിമവും ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു പെയ്യുകയും അവിടേക്കു മടങ്ങാതെ വിതെപ്പാൻ വിത്തും തിന്മാൻ ആഹാരവും നല്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം ഭൂമിയെ നനെച്ചു ഫലവത്താക്കി വിളയിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ

¹¹എന്റെ വായിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്ന എന്റെ വചനം ആയിരിക്കും; അതു വെറുതെ എന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവരാതെ എനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടമുള്ളതു നിവർ‍ത്തിക്കയും ഞാൻ അയച്ച കാർയം സാധിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യും

¹²നിങ്ങൾ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ പുറപ്പെടും; സമാധാനത്തോടെ നിങ്ങളെ പറഞ്ഞയക്കും; മലകളും കുന്നുകളും നിങ്ങളുടെ മുൻ പിൽ പൊട്ടി ആർ‍ക്കും; ദേശത്തിലെ സകല വൃക്ഷങ്ങളും കൈ കൊട്ടും

¹³മുള്ളിന്നു പകരം സരളവൃക്ഷം മുളെക്കും; പറക്കാരെക്കു പകരം കൊഴുൻ തു മുളെക്കും; അതു യഹോവേക്കു ഒരു കീർ‍ത്തിയായും ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടാത്ത ശാശ്വതമായോരു അടയാളമായും ഇരിക്കും

⁴⁴“Our fathers had the tabernacle of the testimony in the wilderness, even as he who spoke to Moses commanded him to make it according to the pattern that he had seen;

⁴⁵which also our fathers, in their turn, brought in with Joshua when they entered into the possession of the nations whom God drove out before the face of our fathers to the days of David,

⁴⁶who found favor in the sight of God, and asked to find a habitation for the God of Jacob.

⁴⁷But Solomon built him a house.

⁴⁸However, the Most High doesn’t dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says,

⁴⁹‘heaven is my throne,

⁵⁰Didn’t my hand make all these things?’

⁵¹“You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit! As your fathers did, so you do.

⁵²Which of the prophets didn’t your fathers persecute? They killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, of whom you have now become betrayers and murderers.

⁵³You received the law as it was ordained by angels, and didn’t keep it!”

⁴⁴നീ കണ്ട മാതിരിക്കൊത്തവണ്ണം അതിനെ തീർക്കേണം എന്നു മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തവൻ കല്പിച്ചതു പോലെ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കും മരുഭൂമിയിൽ സാക്ഷ്യകൂടാരം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

⁴⁵നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ അതു ഏറ്റു വാങ്ങി ദൈവം നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞ ജാതികളുടെ അവകാശത്തിലേക്കു യോശുവയുമായി കൊണ്ടുവന്നു ദാവീദിന്റെ കാലംവരെ വെച്ചിരുന്നു.

⁴⁶അവൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ കൃപലഭിച്ചു, യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു ഒരു വാസസ്ഥലം ഉണ്ടാക്കുവാൻ അനുവാദം അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

⁴⁷ശലോമോൻ അവന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിതു.

⁴⁸അത്യുന്നതൻ കൈപ്പണിയായതിൽ വസിക്കുന്നില്ലതാനും

⁴⁹“സ്വർഗ്ഗം എനിക്കു സിംഹാസനവും ഭൂമി എന്റെ പാദപീഠവും ആകുന്നു. നിങ്ങൾ എനിക്കു പണിയുന്ന ആലയം ഏതുവിധം?

⁵⁰എന്റെ വിശ്രമസ്ഥലവും ഏതു? ഇതൊക്കെയും എന്റെ കൈയല്ലയോ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയതു എന്നു കർത്താവു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു” എന്നു പ്രവാചകൻ പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

⁵¹ശാഠ്യക്കാരും ഹൃദയത്തിന്നും ചെവിക്കും പരിച്ഛേദന ഇല്ലാത്തവരുമായുള്ളോരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ നിങ്ങളും എല്ലായ്പോഴും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനോടു മറുത്തു നിലക്കുന്നു.

⁵²പ്രവാചകന്മാരിൽ ഏവനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ ഉപദ്രവിക്കാതിരുന്നിട്ടുള്ളു? നീതിമാനായവന്റെ വരവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു മുൻ അറിയിച്ചവരെ അവർ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

⁵³അവന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ ദ്രോഹികളും കുലപാതകരും ആയിത്തീർന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവദൂതന്മാരുടെ നിയോഗങ്ങളായി ന്യായപ്രമാണം പ്രാപിച്ചു എങ്കിലും അതു പ്രമാണിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.

¹Now indeed even the first covenant had ordinances of divine service and an earthly sanctuary.

²For a tabernacle was prepared. In the first part were the lamp stand, the table, and the show bread, which is called the Holy Place.

³After the second veil was the tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies,

⁴having a golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which was a golden pot holding the manna, Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant;

⁵and above it cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat, of which things we can’t speak now in detail.

⁶Now these things having been thus prepared, the priests go in continually into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the services,

⁷but into the second the high priest alone, once in the year, not without blood, which he offers for himself and for the errors of the people.

⁸The Holy Spirit is indicating this, that the way into the Holy Place wasn’t yet revealed while the first tabernacle was still standing.

⁹This is a symbol of the present age, where gifts and sacrifices are offered that are incapable, concerning the conscience, of making the worshiper perfect,

¹⁰being only (with foods and drinks and various washings) fleshly ordinances, imposed until a time of reformation.

¹¹But Christ having come as a high priest of the coming good things, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation,

¹²nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the Holy Place, having obtained eternal redemption.

¹³For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify to the cleanness of the flesh,

¹⁴how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

¹എന്നാൽ ആദ്യനിയമത്തിന്നും ആരാധനെക്കുള്ള ചട്ടങ്ങളും ലൗകികമായ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

²ഒരു കൂടാരം ചമെച്ചു; അതിന്റെ ആദ്യഭാഗത്തു നിലവിളക്കും മേശയും കാഴ്ചയപ്പവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അതിന്നു വിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലം എന്നു പേർ.

³രണ്ടാം തിരശ്ശീലെക്കു പിന്നിലോ അതിവിശുദ്ധം എന്ന കൂടാരം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

⁴അതിൽ പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടുള്ള ധൂപകലശവും മുഴുവനും പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞ നിയമപെട്ടകവും അതിന്നകത്തു മന്ന ഇട്ടുവെച്ച പൊൻ പാത്രവും അഹരോന്റെ തളിർത്തവടിയും നിയമത്തിന്റെ കല്പലകകളും

⁵അതിന്നു മിതെ കൃപാസനത്തെ മൂടുന്ന തേജസ്സിന്റെ കെരൂബുകളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അതു ഇപ്പോൾ ഔരോന്നായി വിവരിപ്പാൻ കഴിവില്ല.

⁶ഇവ ഇങ്ങനെ തീർന്ന ശേഷം പുരോഹിതന്മാർ നിത്യം മുൻ കൂടാരത്തിൽ ചെന്നു ശുശ്രൂഷ കഴിക്കും.

⁷രണ്ടാമത്തേതിലോ ആണ്ടിൽ ഒരിക്കൽ മഹാപുരോഹിതൻ മാത്രം ചെല്ലും; രക്തം കൂടാതെ അല്ല; അതു അവൻ തന്റെയും ജനത്തിന്റെയും അബദ്ധങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടി അർപ്പിക്കും.

⁸മുങ്കൂടാരം നിലക്കുന്നേടത്തോളം വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിലേക്കുള്ള വഴി വെളിപ്പെട്ടില്ല എന്നു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു ഇതിനാൽ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

⁹ആ കൂടാരം ഈ കാലത്തേക്കു ഒരു സാദൃശ്യമത്രേ. അതിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ആരാധനക്കാരന്നു മനസ്സാക്ഷിയിൽ പൂർണ്ണ സമാധാനം വരുത്തുവാൻ കഴിയാത്ത വഴിപാടും യാഗവും അർപ്പിച്ചു പോരുന്നു.

¹⁰അവ ഭക്ഷ്യങ്ങൾ, പാനീയങ്ങൾ, വിവിധ സ്നാനങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയോടു കൂടെ ഗുണീകരണകാലത്തോളം ചുമത്തിയിരുന്ന ജഡികനിയമങ്ങളത്രേ.

¹¹ക്രിസ്തുവോ വരുവാനുള്ള നന്മകളുടെ മഹാപുരോഹിതനായി വന്നിട്ടു: കൈപ്പണിയല്ലാത്തതായി എന്നുവെച്ചാൽ ഈ സൃഷ്ടിയിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടാത്തതായി വലിപ്പവും തികവുമേറിയ

¹²ഒരു കൂടാരത്തിൽകൂടി ആട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരുടെയും പശുക്കിടാക്കളുടെയും രക്തത്താലല്ല, സ്വന്ത രക്തത്താൽ തന്നേ ഒരിക്കലായിട്ടു വിശുദ്ധ മന്ദിരത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചു എന്നേക്കുമുള്ളോരു വീണ്ടെടുപ്പു സാധിപ്പിച്ചു.

¹³ആട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരുടെയും കാളകളുടെയും രക്തവും മലിനപ്പെട്ടവരുടെ മേൽ തളിക്കുന്ന പശുഭസ്മവും

¹⁴ജഡികശുദ്ധി വരുത്തുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നിത്യാത്മാവിനാൽ ദൈവത്തിന്നു തന്നെത്താൻ നിഷ്കളങ്കനായി അർപ്പിച്ച ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ രക്തം ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തെ ആരാധിപ്പാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മനസ്സാക്ഷിയെ നിർജ്ജീവപ്രവൃത്തികളെ പോക്കി എത്ര അധികം ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കും?

²²It was the Feast of the Dedication at Jerusalem.

²³It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in Solomon’s porch.

²⁴The Jews therefore came around him and said to him, “How long will you hold us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.”

²⁵Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you don’t believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name, these testify about me.

²⁶But you don’t believe, because you are not of my sheep, as I told you.

²⁷My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

²⁸I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

²⁹My Father who has given them to me is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of my Father’s hand.

³⁰I and the Father are one.”

³¹Therefore the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

³²Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from my Father. For which of those works do you stone me?”

³³The Jews answered him, “We don’t stone you for a good work, but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.”

³⁴Jesus answered them, “Isn’t it written in your law, ‘I said, you are gods’?

³⁵If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture can’t be broken),

³⁶do you say of him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?

³⁷If I don’t do the works of my Father, don’t believe me.

³⁸But if I do them, though you don’t believe me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.”

²²അനന്തരം യെരൂശലേമിൽ പ്രതിഷ്ഠോത്സവം ആചരിച്ചു; അന്നു ശീതകാലമായിരുന്നു.

²³യേശു ദൈവലായത്തിൽ ശലോമോന്റെ മണ്ഡപത്തിൽ നടന്നുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

²⁴യെഹൂദന്മാർ അവനെ വളഞ്ഞു: നീ എത്രത്തോളം ഞങ്ങളെ ആശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു? നീ ക്രിസ്തു എങ്കിൽ സ്പഷ്ടമായി പറക എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

²⁵യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ഞാൻ ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തികൾ എനിക്കു സാക്ഷ്യം ആകുന്നു.

²⁶നിങ്ങളോ എന്റെ ആടുകളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലുള്ളവരല്ലായ്കയാൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല. എന്റെ ആടുകൾ എന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേൾക്കുന്നു;

²⁷ഞാൻ അവയെ അറികയും അവ എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

²⁸ഞാൻ അവേക്കു നിത്യജീവൻ കൊടുക്കുന്നു; അവ ഒരുനാളും നശിച്ചു പോകയില്ല; ആരും അവയെ എന്റെ കയ്യിൽ നിന്നു പിടിച്ചുപറിക്കയും ഇല്ല.

²⁹അവയെ തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ പിതാവു എല്ലാവരിലും വലിയവൻ ; പിതാവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ നിന്നു പിടിച്ചുപറിപ്പാൻ ആർക്കും കഴികയില്ല

³⁰ഞാനും പിതാവും ഒന്നാകുന്നു.”

³¹യെഹൂദന്മാർ അവനെ എറിവാൻ പിന്നെയും കല്ലു എടുത്തു.

³²യേശു അവരോടു: “പിതാവിന്റെ കല്പനയാൽ ഞാൻ പല നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തികൾ നിങ്ങളെ കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവയിൽ ഏതു പ്രവൃത്തിനിമിത്തം നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കല്ലെറിയുന്നു?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

³³യെഹൂദന്മാർ അവനോടു: നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തി നിമിത്തമല്ല, ദൈവദൂഷണം നിമിത്തവും നീ മനുഷ്യനായിരിക്കെ നിന്നെത്തന്നേ ദൈവം ആക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടുമത്രേ ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നെ കല്ലെറിയുന്നതു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

³⁴യേശു അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ദേവന്മാർ ആകുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?

³⁵ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുള്ളവരെ ദേവന്മാർ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു എങ്കിൽ-തിരുവെഴുത്തിന്നു നീക്കം വന്നുകൂടായല്ലോ-

³⁶ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പുത്രൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു: നീ ദൈവദൂഷണം പറയുന്നു എന്നു പിതാവു വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു ലോകത്തിൽ അയച്ചവനോടു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നുവോ?

³⁷ഞാൻ എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ എന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടാ;

³⁸ചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കിലോ എന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കാതിരുന്നാലും പിതാവു എന്നിലും ഞാൻ പിതാവിലും എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ഗ്രഹിച്ചു അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു പ്രവൃത്തിയെ വിശ്വസിപ്പിൻ .
