¹⁵So when they had eaten their breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than these?”

¹⁶He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me?”

¹⁷He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you have affection for me?”

¹⁸Most certainly I tell you, when you were young, you dressed yourself and walked where you wanted to. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you don’t want to go.”

¹⁹Now he said this, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. When he had said this, he said to him, “Follow me.”

²⁰Then Peter, turning around, saw a disciple following. This was the disciple whom Jesus loved, the one who had also leaned on Jesus’ chest at the supper and asked, “Lord, who is going to betray you?”

²¹Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, “Lord, what about this man?”

²²Jesus said to him, “If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you? You follow me.”

²⁷Jesus went out, with his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked his disciples, “Who do men say that I am?”

²⁸They told him, “John the Baptizer, and others say Elijah, but others, one of the prophets.”

²⁹He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

³⁰He commanded them that they should tell no one about him.

³¹He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

³²He spoke to them openly. Peter took him and began to rebuke him.

³³But he, turning around and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, and said, “Get behind me, Satan! For you have in mind not the things of God, but the things of men.”

²⁷അനന്തരം യേശു ശിഷ്യന്മാരുമായി ഫിലിപ്പൊസിന്റെ കൈസര്യകൂ അടുത്ത ഊരുകളിലേക്കു പോയി; വഴിയിൽവെച്ചു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു: ജനങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ആർ എന്നു പറയുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

²⁸യോഹന്നാൻ സ്നാപകനെന്നു ചിലർ, ഏലീയാവെന്നു ചിലർ, പ്രവാചകന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ എന്നു മറ്റു ചിലർ എന്നു അവർ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

⁷Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, far away from the camp, and he called it “The Tent of Meeting.” Everyone who sought Yahweh went out to the Tent of Meeting, which was outside the camp.

⁸When Moses went out to the Tent, all the people rose up, and stood, everyone at their tent door, and watched Moses, until he had gone into the Tent.

⁹When Moses entered into the Tent, the pillar of cloud descended, stood at the door of the Tent, and Yahweh spoke with Moses.

¹⁰All the people saw the pillar of cloud stand at the door of the Tent, and all the people rose up and worshiped, everyone at their tent door.

¹¹Yahweh spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. He turned again into the camp, but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, didn’t depart from the Tent.

⁷മോശെ കൂടാരം എടുത്തു പാളയത്തിന്നു പുറത്തു പാളയത്തിൽനിന്നു ദൂരത്തു അടിച്ചു; അതിന്നു സമാഗമനക്കുടാരം എന്നു പേർ ഇട്ടു. യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവനെല്ലാം പുറപ്പെട്ടു പാളയത്തിന്നു പുറത്തുള്ള സമാഗമന കൂടാരത്തിലേക്കു ചെന്നു.

⁸മോശെ കൂടാരത്തിലേക്കു പോകുമ്പോൾ ജനം ഒക്കെയും എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഒരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ കൂടാരവാതിൽക്കൽ നിന്നു, മോശെ കൂടാരത്തിന്നകത്തു കടക്കുവേളം അവനെ നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

⁹മോശെ കൂടാരത്തിൽ കടക്കുമ്പോൾ മേഘസ്തംഭം ഇറങ്ങി കൂടാരവാതിൽക്കൽ നിൽക്കയും യഹോവ മോശെയോടു സംസാരിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

¹⁰ജനം എല്ലാം കൂടാരവാതിൽക്കൽ മേഘസ്തംഭം നിലക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു. ജനം എല്ലാം എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഔരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ കൂടാരവാതിൽക്കൽവെച്ചു നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

¹¹ഒരുത്തൻ തന്റെ സ്നേഹിതനോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു പോലെ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അഭിമുഖമായി സംസാരിച്ചു. പിന്നെ അവൻ പാളയത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നു; അവന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരനായ നൂന്റെ പുത്രനായ യോശുവ എന്ന ബാല്യക്കാരനോ കൂടാരത്തെ വിട്ടുപിരിയാതിരുന്നു.

¹⁷In the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was raised up.

¹⁸Moses raised up the tabernacle, and laid its sockets, and set up its boards, and put in its bars, and raised up its pillars.

¹⁹He spread the covering over the tent, and put the roof of the tabernacle above on it, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

²⁰He took and put the covenant into the ark, and set the poles on the ark, and put the mercy seat above on the ark.

²¹He brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the covenant, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

²²He put the table in the Tent of Meeting, on the north side of the tabernacle, outside of the veil.

²³He set the bread in order on it before Yahweh, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

²⁴He put the lamp stand in the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of the tabernacle.

²⁵He lit the lamps before Yahweh, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

²⁶He put the golden altar in the Tent of Meeting before the veil;

²⁷and he burned incense of sweet spices on it, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

²⁸He put up the screen of the door to the tabernacle.

²⁹He set the altar of burnt offering at the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

³⁰He set the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water therein, with which to wash.

³¹Moses, Aaron, and his sons washed their hands and their feet there.

³²When they went into the Tent of Meeting, and when they came near to the altar, they washed, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

³³He raised up the court around the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work.

³⁴Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and Yahweh’s glory filled the tabernacle.

³⁵Moses wasn’t able to enter into the Tent of Meeting, because the cloud stayed on it, and Yahweh’s glory filled the tabernacle.

³⁶When the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward, throughout all their journeys;

³⁷but if the cloud wasn’t taken up, then they didn’t travel until the day that it was taken up.

³⁸For the cloud of Yahweh was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

¹⁷ഇങ്ങനെ രണ്ടാം സംവത്സരം ഒന്നാം മാസം ഒന്നാം തിയ്യതി തിരുനിവാസം നിവിർത്തു.

²⁰അവൻ സാക്ഷ്യം എടുത്തു പെട്ടകത്തിൽ വെച്ചു; പെട്ടകത്തിന്നു തണ്ടു ചെലുത്തി പെട്ടകത്തിന്നു മീതെ കൃപാസനം വെച്ചു.

²¹പെട്ടകം തിരുനിവാസത്തിൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു മറയുടെ തിരശ്ശീല തൂക്കി സാക്ഷ്യപെട്ടകം മറെച്ചു; യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ തന്നേ.

²²സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിൽ തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്റെ വടക്കുവശത്തു തിരശ്ശീലെക്കു പുറത്തായി മേശവെച്ചു.

²³അതിന്മേൽ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ അപ്പം അടുക്കിവെച്ചു; യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതു പോലെ തന്നേ.

²⁴സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിൽ മോശെക്കു നേരെ തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്റെ തെക്കുവശത്തു നിലവിളകൂ വെക്കയും യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ദീപം കൊളുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു;

²⁵യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതു പോലെ തന്നേ.

²⁶സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിൽ തിരശ്ശീലയുടെ മുൻ വശത്തു പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടുള്ള ധൂപപീഠം വെക്കയും അതിന്മേൽ സുഗന്ധ ധൂപവർഗ്ഗം ധൂപിക്കയും ചെയ്തു;

²⁷യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ തന്നേ.

²⁸അവൻ തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്റെ വാതിലിന്നുള്ള മറശ്ശീല തൂക്കി.

²⁹ഹോമയാഗപീഠം സമാഗമനക്കുടാരമെന്ന തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്റെ വാതിലിന്നു മുൻ വശത്തു വെക്കയും അതിന്മേൽ ഹോമയാഗവും ഭോജനയാഗവും അർപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തു. യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതു പോലെ തന്നേ.

³⁰സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്നും യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നും നടുവിൽ അവൻ തൊട്ടിവെക്കയും കഴുകേണ്ടതിന്നു അതിൽ വെള്ളം ഒഴിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

³¹മോശെയും അഹരോനും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും അതിൽ കയ്യും കാലും കഴുകി.

³²അവർ സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിൽ കടക്കുമ്പോഴും യാഗപീഠത്തിങ്കൽ ചെല്ലുമ്പോഴും കൈകാലുകൾ കഴുകും; യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ തന്നേ.

³³അവൻ തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്നും യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നും ചുറ്റം പ്രാകാരം നിറുത്തി; പ്രാകാരവാതിലിന്റെ മറശ്ശീല തൂക്കി. ഇങ്ങനെ മോശെ പ്രവൃത്തി സമാപിച്ചു.

³⁴അപ്പോൾ മേഘം സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തെ മൂടി, യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സു തിരുനിവാസത്തെ നിറെച്ചു.

³⁵മേഘം സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്മേൽ അധിവസിക്കയും യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സു തിരുനിവാസത്തെ നിറെക്കയും ചെയ്തതുകൊണ്ടു മോശെക്കു അകത്തു കടപ്പാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

³⁶യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ തങ്ങളുടെ സകലപ്രയാണങ്ങളിലും മേഘം തിരുനിവസത്തിന്മേൽനിന്നു ഉയരുമ്പോൾ യാത്ര പുറപ്പെടും.

³⁷മേഘം ഉയരാതിരുന്നാൽ അതു ഉയരുംനാൾവരെ അവർ യാത്രപുറപ്പെടാതിരിക്കും.

³⁸യിസ്രായേല്യരുടെ സകലപ്രയാണങ്ങളിലും അവരെല്ലാവരും കാൺകെ പകൽ സമയത്തു തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്മേൽ യഹോവയുടെ മേഘവും രാത്രിസമയത്തു അതിൽ അഗ്നിയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

¹In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple.

²Above him stood the seraphim. Each one had six wings. With two he covered his face. With two he covered his feet. With two he flew.

³One called to another, and said,

⁴The foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke.

⁵Then I said, “Woe is me! For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of unclean lips, for my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh of Armies!”

⁶Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar.

⁷He touched my mouth with it, and said, “Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away, and your sin forgiven.”

⁸I heard the Lord’s voice, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?”

¹ഉസ്സീയാരാജാവു മരിച്ച ആണ്ടിൽ കർത്താവു, ഉയർന്നും പൊങ്ങിയുമുള്ള സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു ഞാൻ കണ്ടു; അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ വിളുമ്പുകൾ മന്ദിരത്തെ നിറച്ചിരുന്നു.

³ഒരുത്തനോടു ഒരുത്തൻ ; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ പരിശുദ്ധൻ , പരിശുദ്ധൻ , പരിശുദ്ധൻ ; സർവ്വഭൂമിയും അവന്റെ മഹത്വംകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ആർത്തു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁴അവർ ആർക്കുംന്ന ശബ്ദത്താൽ ഉമ്മരപ്പടികളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ കുലുങ്ങി ആലയം പുകകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞു.

⁵അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ : എനിക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; ഞാൻ നശിച്ചു; ഞാൻ ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത അധരങ്ങൾ ഉള്ളോരു മനുഷ്യൻ ; ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത അധരങ്ങൾ ഉള്ള ജനത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ രാജാവിനെ കണ്ടുവല്ലോ എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു.

⁶അപ്പോൾ സാറാഫുകളിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ യാഗപീഠത്തിൽ നിന്നു കൊടിൽകൊണ്ടു ഒരു തീക്കനൽ എടുത്തു കയ്യിൽ പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പറന്നുവന്നു,

⁷അതു എന്റെ വായക്കു തൊടുവിച്ചു: ഇതാ, ഇതു നിന്റെ അധരങ്ങളെ തൊട്ടതിനാൽ നിന്റെ അകൃത്യം നീങ്ങി നിന്റെ പാപത്തിന്നു പരിഹാരം വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁸അനന്തരം ഞാൻ ആരെ അയക്കേണ്ടു? ആർ നമുക്കു വേണ്ടി പോകും? എന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്ന കർത്താവിന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേട്ടിട്ടു: അടയിൻ ഇതാ അടിയനെ അയക്കേണമേ എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

¹Putting away therefore all wickedness, all deceit, hypocrisies, envies, and all evil speaking,

²as newborn babies, long for the pure spiritual milk, that with it you may grow,

³if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

⁴Come to him, a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God, precious.

⁵You also as living stones are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

⁶Because it is contained in Scripture,

⁷For you who believe therefore is the honor, but for those who are disobedient,

⁸and,

⁹But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

¹⁰In the past, you were not a people, but now are God’s people, who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

¹¹Beloved, I beg you as foreigners and pilgrims to abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,

¹²having good behavior among the nations, so in that of which they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good works and glorify God in the day of visitation.

¹ആകയാൽ സകലദുഷ്ടതയും എല്ലാ ചതിവും വ്യാജഭാവവും അസൂയയും എല്ലാനുണയും നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു

²ഇപ്പോൾ ജനിച്ച ശിശുക്കളെപ്പോലെ രക്ഷെക്കായി വളരുവാൻ വചനം എന്ന മായമില്ലാത്ത പാൽ കുടിപ്പാൻ

³വാഞ്ഛിപ്പിൻ . കർത്താവു ദയാലു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ആസ്വദിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ.

⁵നിങ്ങളും ജീവനുള്ള കല്ലുകൾ എന്നപോലെ ആത്മികഗൃഹമായി യേശുക്രിസ്തുമുഖാന്തരം ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദമുള്ള ആത്മികയാഗം കഴിപ്പാന്തക്ക വിശുദ്ധപുരോഹിതവർഗ്ഗമാകേണ്ടതിന്നു പണിയപ്പെടുന്നു.

⁶“ഞാൻ ശ്രേഷ്ഠവും മാന്യവുമായോരു മൂലക്കല്ലു സീയോനിൽ ഇടുന്നു; അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവൻ ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകയില്ല” എന്നു തിരുവെഴുത്തിൽ കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ.

⁷വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങൾക്കു ആ മാന്യതയുണ്ടു; വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവർക്കോ “വീടു പണിയുന്നവർ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞ കല്ലു തന്നേ മൂലക്കല്ലും ഇടർച്ചക്കല്ലും തടങ്ങൽ പാറയുമായിത്തീർന്നു.”

⁸അവർ വചനം അനുസരിക്കായ്കയാൽ ഇടറിപ്പോകുന്നു; അതിന്നു അവരെ വെച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

¹³Now when Jesus came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”

¹⁴They said, “Some say John the Baptizer, some, Elijah, and others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

¹⁵He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

¹⁶Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

¹⁷Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.

¹⁸I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.

¹⁹I will give to you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven; and whatever you release on earth will have been released in heaven.”

²⁰Then he commanded the disciples that they should tell no one that he was Jesus the Christ.

²¹From that time, Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.

²²Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, “Far be it from you, Lord! This will never be done to you.”

²³But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me, for you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of men.”

¹³യേശു ഫിലിപ്പിന്റെ കൈസര്യയുടെ പ്രദേശത്തു എത്തിയശേഷം തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു: “ജനങ്ങൾ മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ ആർ എന്നു പറയുന്നു?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

¹⁴ചിലർ യോഹന്നാൻ സ്നാപകൻ എന്നും മറ്റു ചിലർ ഏലീയാവെന്നും വേറെ ചിലർ യിരെമ്യാവോ പ്രവാചകന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തനോ എന്നും പറയുന്നു എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

¹⁵“നിങ്ങളോ എന്നെ ആർ എന്നു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു അവൻ ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസ്:

¹⁶നീ ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പുത്രനായ ക്രിസ്തുഎന്നും ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

¹⁷യേശു അവനോടു: “ബർയോനാശിമോനെ, നീ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ ; ജഡരക്തങ്ങൾ അല്ല, സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ എന്റെ പിതാവത്രെ നിനക്കു ഇതു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയതു.

¹⁸നീ പത്രൊസ് ആകുന്നു; ഈ പാറമേൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ സഭയെ പണിയും; പാതാളഗോപുരങ്ങൾ അതിനെ ജയിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു.

¹⁹സ്വർഗ്ഗ രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ താക്കോൽ ഞാൻ നിനക്കു തരുന്നു; നീ ഭൂമിയിൽ കെട്ടുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കെട്ടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും; നീ ഭൂമിയിൽ അഴിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ അഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കും” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

²⁰പിന്നെ താൻ ക്രിസ്തു ആകുന്നു എന്നു ആരോടും പറയാതിരിപ്പാൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു കല്പിച്ചു.

²¹അന്നു മുതൽ യേശു താൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ ചെന്നിട്ടു, മൂപ്പന്മാർ, മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാർ, ശാസ്ത്രിമാർ എന്നിവരാൽ പലതും സഹിച്ചു കൊല്ലപ്പെടുകയും മൂന്നാം നാൾ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കയും വേണ്ടതു എന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി.

²²പത്രൊസ് അവനെ വേറിട്ടു കൊണ്ടുപോയി: കർത്താവേ, അതു അരുതേ; നിനക്കു അങ്ങനെ ഭവിക്കരുതേ എന്നു ശാസിച്ചുതുടങ്ങി.

²³അവനോ തിരിഞ്ഞു പത്രൊസിനോടു; “സാത്താനേ, എന്നെ വിട്ടുപോ; നീ എനിക്കു ഇടർച്ചയാകുന്നു; നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റേതല്ല മനുഷ്യരുടേതത്രെ കരുതുന്നതു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
