¹He also said to his disciples, “There was a certain rich man who had a manager. An accusation was made to him that this man was wasting his possessions.

²He called him, and said to him, ‘What is this that I hear about you? Give an accounting of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’

³“The manager said within himself, ‘What will I do, seeing that my lord is taking away the management position from me? I don’t have strength to dig. I am ashamed to beg.

⁴I know what I will do, so that when I am removed from management, they may receive me into their houses.’

⁵Calling each one of his lord’s debtors to him, he said to the first, ‘How much do you owe to my lord?’

⁶He said, ‘A hundred batos of oil.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.’

⁷Then he said to another, ‘How much do you owe?’ He said, ‘A hundred cors of wheat.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty.’

⁸“His lord commended the dishonest manager because he had done wisely, for the children of this world are, in their own generation, wiser than the children of the light.

⁹I tell you, make for yourselves friends by means of unrighteous mammon, so that when you fail, they may receive you into the eternal tents.

¹⁰He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.

¹¹If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

¹²If you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?

¹³No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to one and despise the other. You aren’t able to serve God and Mammon.”

¹⁴The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they scoffed at him.

¹⁵He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts. For that which is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

¹⁶“The law and the prophets were until John. From that time the Good News of God’s Kingdom is preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.

¹⁷But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tiny stroke of a pen in the law to fall.

¹⁸“Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery. He who marries one who is divorced from a husband commits adultery.

¹പിന്നെ അവൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ധനവാനായോരു മനുഷ്യന്നു ഒരു കാര്യവിചാരകൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ അവന്റെ വസ്തുവക നാനാവിധമാക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചിലർ അവനെ കുറ്റം പറഞ്ഞു.

²അവൻ അവനെ വിളിച്ചു: നിന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു ഈ കേൾക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? നിന്റെ കാര്യവിചാരത്തിന്റെ കണകൂ ഏല്പിച്ചുതരിക; നീ ഇനി കാര്യവിചാരകനായിരിപ്പാൻ പാടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

³എന്നാറെ കാര്യ വിചാരകൻ : ഞാൻ എന്തു ചെയ്യേണ്ടു? യജമാനൻ കാര്യവിചാരത്തിൽ നിന്നു എന്നെ നീക്കുവാൻ പോകുന്നു; കിളെപ്പാൻ എനിക്കു പ്രാപ്തിയില്ല; ഇരപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ നാണിക്കുന്നു.

⁴എന്നെ കാര്യവിചാരത്തിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിയാൽ അവർ എന്നെ തങ്ങളുടെ വീടുകളിൽ ചേർത്തുകൊൾവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതു എന്തു എന്നു എനിക്കു അറിയാം എന്നു ഉള്ളുകൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁵പിന്നെ അവൻ യജമാനന്റെ കടക്കാരിൽ ഔരോരുത്തനെ വരുത്തി ഒന്നാമത്തവനോടു: നീ യജമാനന്നു എത്ര കടംപെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

⁹അനീതിയുള്ള മമ്മോനെക്കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങൾക്കു സ്നേഹിതന്മാരെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിക്കൊൾവിൻ എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു. അതു ഇല്ലാതെയാകുമ്പോൾ അവർ നിത്യ കൂടാരങ്ങളിൽ നിങ്ങളെ ചേർത്തുകൊൾവാൻ ഇടയാകും.

¹⁰അത്യല്പത്തിൽ വിശ്വസ്തനായവൻ അധികത്തിലും വിശ്വസ്തൻ ; അത്യല്പത്തിൽ നീതികെട്ടവൻ അധികത്തിലും നീതി കെട്ടവൻ .

¹¹നിങ്ങൾ അനീതിയുള്ള മമ്മോനിൽ വിശ്വസ്തരായില്ല എങ്കിൽ സത്യമായതു നിങ്ങളെ ആർ ഭരമേല്പിക്കും?

¹²അന്യമായതിൽ വിശ്വസ്തരായില്ല എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു സ്വന്തമായതു ആർ തരും?

¹³രണ്ടു യജമാനന്മാരെ സേവിപ്പാൻ ഒരു ഭൃത്യന്നും കഴികയില്ല; അവൻ ഒരുവനെ പകെച്ചു മറ്റവനെ സ്നേഹിക്കും; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഒരുത്തനോടു പറ്റിച്ചേർന്നു മറ്റവനെ നിരസിക്കും. നിങ്ങൾക്കു ദൈവത്തെയും മമ്മോനെയും സേവിപ്പാൻ കഴികയില്ല.

¹⁵അവൻ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളെ തന്നേ മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ നീതീകരിക്കുന്നവർ ആകുന്നു; ദൈവമോ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം അറിയുന്നു; മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഉന്നതമായതു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ അറെപ്പത്രേ.

¹⁶ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെയും കാലം യോഹന്നാൻ വരെ ആയിരുന്നു; അന്നുമുതൽ ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ സുവിശേഷിച്ചുവരുന്നു; എല്ലാവരും ബലാൽക്കാരേണ അതിൽ കടപ്പാൻ നോക്കുന്നു.

¹⁷ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ ഒരു പുള്ളി വീണുപോകുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നതു എളുപ്പം.

¹⁸ഭാര്യയെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു മറ്റൊരുത്തിയെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഭർത്താവു ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചവളെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നവനും വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

¹Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

²He came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him.”

³Jesus answered him, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom.”

⁴Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

⁵Jesus answered, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and Spirit, he can’t enter into God’s Kingdom.

⁶That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

¹പരീശന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ഒരു പ്രമാണിയായി നിക്കോദേമൊസ് എന്നു പേരുള്ളോരു മനുഷ്യൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

⁴നിക്കോദെമൊസ് അവനോടു: മനുഷ്യൻ വൃദ്ധനായശേഷം ജനിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ? രണ്ടാമതും അമ്മയുടെ ഉദരത്തിൽ കടന്നു ജനിക്കാമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

⁵അതിന്നു യേശു: ആമേൻ , ആമേൻ , ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു: വെള്ളത്താലും ആത്മാവിനാലും ജനിച്ചില്ല എങ്കിൽ ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിൽ കടപ്പാൻ ആർക്കും കഴികയില്ല.

⁶ജഡത്താൽ ജനിച്ചതു ജഡം ആകുന്നു; ആത്മാവിനാൽ ജനിച്ചതു ആത്മാവു ആകുന്നു.

¹God spoke all these words, saying,

²“I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

³“You shall have no other gods before me.

⁴“You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

⁵you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me,

⁶and showing loving kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.

⁷“You shall not misuse the name of Yahweh your God, for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless who misuses his name.

⁸“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

⁹You shall labor six days, and do all your work,

¹⁰but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God. You shall not do any work in it, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates;

¹¹for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore Yahweh blessed the Sabbath day, and made it holy.

¹²“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.

¹³“You shall not murder.

¹⁴“You shall not commit adultery.

¹⁵“You shall not steal.

¹⁶“You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

¹⁷“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

¹⁸All the people perceived the thunderings, the lightnings, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking. When the people saw it, they trembled, and stayed at a distance.

¹⁹They said to Moses, “Speak with us yourself, and we will listen; but don’t let God speak with us, lest we die.”

²⁰Moses said to the people, “Don’t be afraid, for God has come to test you, and that his fear may be before you, that you won’t sin.”

²¹The people stayed at a distance, and Moses came near to the thick darkness where God was.

¹ദൈവം ഈ വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു:

²അടിമവീടായ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ദൈവം ആകുന്നു.

⁵അവയെ നമസ്കരിക്കയോ സേവിക്കയോ ചെയ്യരുതു. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ തീക്ഷ്ണതയുള്ള ദൈവം ആകുന്നു; എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവരിൽ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അകൃത്യം മൂന്നാമത്തെയും നാലാമത്തെയും തലമുറവരെ മക്കളുടെ മേൽ സന്ദർശിക്കയും

⁶എന്നെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു എന്റെ കല്പനകളെ പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവർക്കും ആയിരം തലമുറ വരെ ദയകാണിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

⁷നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമം വൃഥാ എടുക്കരുതു; തന്റെ നാമം വൃഥാ എടുക്കുന്നവനെ യഹോവ ശിക്ഷിക്കാതെ വിടുകയില്ല.

⁸ശബ്ബത്ത് നാളിനെ ശുദ്ധീകരിപ്പാൻ ഔർക്ക.

⁹ആറു ദിവസം അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ചു നിന്റെ വേല ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്ക.

¹⁰ഏഴാം ദിവസം നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ശബ്ബത്ത്ആകുന്നു; അന്നു നീയും നിന്റെ പുത്രനും പുത്രിയും നിന്റെ വേലക്കാരനും വേലക്കാരത്തിയും നിന്റെ കന്നുകാലികളും നിന്റെ പടിവാതിൽക്കകത്തുള്ള പരദേശിയും ഒരു വേലയും ചെയ്യരുതു.

¹¹ആറു ദിവസംകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും സമുദ്രവും അവയിലുള്ളതൊക്കെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി, ഏഴാം ദിവസം സ്വസ്ഥമായിരുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ശബ്ബത്തുനാളിനെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

¹²നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിനക്കു ദീർഘായുസ്സുണ്ടാകുവാൻ നിന്റെ അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും ബഹുമാനിക്ക.

¹³കുല ചെയ്യരുതു.

¹⁴വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യരുതു.

¹⁵മോഷ്ടിക്കരുതു.

¹⁶കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ നേരെ കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷ്യം പറയരുതു.

¹⁷കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭവനത്തെ മോഹിക്കരുതു; കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാര്യയെയും അവന്റെ ദാസനെയും ദാസിയെയും അവന്റെ കാളയെയും കഴുതയെയും കൂട്ടുകാരനുള്ള യാതൊന്നിനെയും മോഹിക്കരുതു.

¹⁸ജനം ഒക്കെയും ഇടിമുഴക്കവും മിന്നലും കാഹളധ്വനിയും പർവ്വതം പുകയുന്നതും കണ്ടു; ജനം അതുകണ്ടപ്പോൾ വിറെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ദൂരത്തു നിന്നു.

¹⁹അവർ മോശെയോടു: നീ ഞങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിക്ക; ഞങ്ങൾ കേട്ടുകൊള്ളാം; ഞങ്ങൾ മരിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ദൈവം ഞങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിക്കരുതേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

²⁰മോശെ ജനത്തോടു: ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; നിങ്ങളെ പരീക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും നിങ്ങൾ പാപം ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പാൻ അവങ്കലുള്ള ഭയം നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും അത്രേ ദൈവം വന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

²¹അങ്ങനെ ജനം ദൂരത്തു നിന്നു; മോശെയോ ദൈവം ഇരുന്ന ഇരുളിന്നു അടുത്തുചെന്നു.

¹²“Yet even now,” says Yahweh, “turn to me with all your heart,

¹³Tear your heart and not your garments,

¹⁴Who knows? He may turn and relent,

¹⁵Blow the trumpet in Zion!

¹⁶Gather the people.

¹⁷Let the priests, the ministers of Yahweh, weep between the porch and the altar,

¹⁸Then Yahweh was jealous for his land,

¹⁹Yahweh answered his people,

²⁰But I will remove the northern army far away from you,

¹³വിസ്ത്രങ്ങളെയല്ല ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ തന്നേ കീറി നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു തിരിവിൻ ; അവൻ കൃപയും കരുണയും ദീർഘക്ഷമയും മഹാദയയുമുള്ളവനല്ലോ; അവൻ അനർത്ഥത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു അനുതപിക്കും.

¹⁴നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ വീണ്ടും അനുതപിച്ചു തനിക്കു ഭോജനയാഗവും പാനീയയാഗവുമായുള്ളോരു അനുഗ്രഹം വെച്ചേക്കയില്ലയോ? ആർക്കറിയാം?

¹⁵സീയോനിൽ കാഹളം ഊതുവിൻ ; ഒരു ഉപവാസം നിയമിപ്പിൻ ; സഭായോഗം വിളിപ്പിൻ !

¹⁶ജനത്തെ കൂട്ടിവരുത്തുവിൻ ; സഭയെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിപ്പിൻ ; മൂപ്പന്മാരെ കൂട്ടിവരുത്തുവിൻ ; പൈതങ്ങളെയും മുലകുടിക്കുന്നവരെയും ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂട്ടുവിൻ ; മണവാളൻ മണവറയും മണവാട്ടി ഉള്ളറയും വിട്ടു പുറത്തു വരട്ടെ.

¹⁷യഹോവയുടെ ശുശ്രൂഷകന്മാരായ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ പൂമുഖത്തിന്റെയും യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെയും മദ്ധ്യേ കരഞ്ഞുംകൊണ്ടു: യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ ജനത്തോടു ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ; ജാതികൾ അവരുടെ മേൽ വഴുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്റെ അവകാശത്തെ നിന്ദെക്കു ഏല്പിക്കരുതേ; അവരുടെ ദൈവം എവിടെയെന്നു ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ പറയുന്നതെന്തിന്നു? എന്നിങ്ങനെ പറയട്ടെ.

¹⁸അങ്ങനെ യഹോവ തന്റെ ദേശത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി തീക്ഷണത കാണിച്ചു തന്റെ ജനത്തെ ആദരിച്ചു.

¹⁹യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു ഉത്തരം അരുളിയതു: ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ധാന്യവും വീഞ്ഞും എണ്ണയും നലകും; നിങ്ങൾ അതിനാൽ തൃപ്തി പ്രാപിക്കും; ഞാൻ ഇനി നിങ്ങളെ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിന്ദയാക്കുകയുമില്ല.

²⁰വടക്കുനിന്നുള്ള ശത്രുവിനെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു ദൂരത്താക്കി വരണ്ടതും ശൂന്യവുമായോരു ദേശത്തേക്കു നീക്കി, അവന്റെ മുൻ പടയെ കിഴക്കെ കടലിലും അവന്റെ പിൻ പടയെ പടിഞ്ഞാറെ കടലിലും ഇട്ടുകളയും; അവൻ വമ്പു കാട്ടിയിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ ദുർഗ്ഗന്ധം പൊങ്ങുകയും നാറ്റം കയറുകയും ചെയ്യും.

⁵Is this the fast that I have chosen?

⁶“Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen:

⁷Isn’t it to distribute your bread to the hungry,

⁸Then your light will break out as the morning,

⁹Then you will call, and Yahweh will answer.

¹⁰and if you pour out your soul to the hungry,

¹¹and Yahweh will guide you continually,

¹²Those who will be of you will build the old waste places.

¹³“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,

¹⁴then you will delight yourself in Yahweh,

⁵എനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടമുള്ള നോൻ പു മനുഷ്യൻ ആത്മതപനം ചെയ്യുന്ന ദിവസവും ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളതോ? തലയെ വേഴത്തെപ്പോലെ കുനിയിക്കുക, രട്ടും വെണ്ണീരും വിരിച്ചു കിടക്കുക, ഇതാകുന്നുവോ ഉപവാസം? ഇതിന്നോ നീ നോൻ പെന്നും യഹോവേക്കു പ്രസാദമുള്ള ദിവസമെന്നും പേർ‍ പറയുന്നതു?

⁶അൻ യായബൻ ധനങ്ങളെ അഴിക്കുക; നുകത്തിന്റെ അമിക്കയറുകളെ അഴിക്കുക; പീഡിതരെ സ്വതന്ത്രരായി വിട്ടയക്ക; എല്ലാനുകത്തെയും തകർ‍ക്കുക; ഇതല്ലയോ എനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടമുള്ള ഉപവാസം?

⁷വിശപ്പുള്ളവന്നു നിന്റെ അപ്പം നുറുക്കിക്കൊടുക്കുന്നതും അലഞ്ഞുനടക്കുന്ന സാധുക്കളെ നിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ചേർത്തുകൊള്ളുന്നതും നഗ്നനെ കണ്ടാൽ അവനെ ഉടുപ്പിക്കുന്നതും നിന്റെ മാംസരക്തങ്ങളായിരിക്കുന്നവർ‍കൂ നിന്നെത്തന്നേ മറെക്കാതെയിരിക്കുന്നതും അല്ലയോ?

⁸അപ്പോൾ നിന്റെ വെളിച്ചം ഉഷസ്സുപോലെ പ്രകാശിക്കും; നിന്റെ മുറിവുകൾക്കു വേഗത്തിൽ പൊറുതിവരും; നിന്റെ നീതി നിനക്കു മുൻ പായി നടക്കും; യഹോവയുടെ മഹത്വം നിന്റെ പുൻ പട ആയിരിക്കും

¹⁹They therefore who were scattered abroad by the oppression that arose about Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except to Jews only.

²⁰But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they had come to Antioch, spoke to the Hellenists, preaching the Lord Jesus.

²¹The hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.

²²The report concerning them came to the ears of the assembly which was in Jerusalem. They sent out Barnabas to go as far as Antioch,

²³who, when he had come, and had seen the grace of God, was glad. He exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they should remain near to the Lord.

²⁴For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith, and many people were added to the Lord.

²⁵Barnabas went out to Tarsus to look for Saul.

²⁶When he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they were gathered together with the assembly, and taught many people. The disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.

¹If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.

²Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.

³For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

⁴When Christ, our life, is revealed, then you will also be revealed with him in glory.

⁵Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

⁶For these things’ sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.

⁷You also once walked in those, when you lived in them,

⁸but now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth.

⁹Don’t lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings,

¹⁰and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator,

¹¹where there can’t be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bondservant, or free person; but Christ is all, and in all.

¹²Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance;

¹³bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do.

¹⁴Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.

¹⁵And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful.

¹⁶Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.

¹⁷Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

¹¹അതിൽ യവനനും യെഹൂദനും എന്നില്ല, പരിച്ഛേദനയും അഗ്രചർമ്മവും എന്നില്ല, ബർബ്ബരൻ , ശകൻ , ദാസൻ , സ്വതന്ത്രൻ എന്നുമില്ല; ക്രിസ്തുവത്രേ എല്ലാവരിലും എല്ലാം ആകുന്നു.

¹²അതുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വൃതന്മാരും വിശുദ്ധന്മാരും പ്രിയരുമായി മനസ്സലിവു, ദയ, താഴ്മ, സൌമ്യത, ദീർഘക്ഷമ എന്നിവ ധരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു

¹³അന്യോന്യം പൊറുക്കയും ഒരുവനോടു ഒരുവന്നു വഴക്കുണ്ടായാൽ തമ്മിൽ ക്ഷമിക്കയും ചെയ്‍വിൻ .

¹⁴എല്ലാറ്റിന്നും മീതെ സമ്പൂർണ്ണതയുടെ ബന്ധമായ സ്നേഹം ധരിപ്പിൻ .

¹⁵ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സമാധാനം നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളിൽ വാഴട്ടെ; അതിന്നല്ലോ നിങ്ങൾ ഏകശരീരമായി വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടുമിരിക്കുന്നതു; നന്ദിയുള്ളവരായും ഇരിപ്പിൻ .

¹The third day, there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there.

²Jesus also was invited, with his disciples, to the wedding.

³When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no wine.”

⁴Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does that have to do with you and me? My hour has not yet come.”

⁵His mother said to the servants, “Whatever he says to you, do it.”

⁶Now there were six water pots of stone set there after the Jews’ way of purifying, containing two or three metretes apiece.

⁷Jesus said to them, “Fill the water pots with water.” So they filled them up to the brim.

⁸He said to them, “Now draw some out, and take it to the ruler of the feast.” So they took it.

⁹When the ruler of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and didn’t know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the ruler of the feast called the bridegroom

¹⁰and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when the guests have drunk freely, then that which is worse. You have kept the good wine until now!”

¹¹This beginning of his signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.

¹മൂന്നാം നാൾ ഗലീലയിലെ കാനാവിൽ ഒരു കല്യാണം ഉണ്ടായി; യേശുവിന്റെ അമ്മ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

⁸ഇപ്പോൾ കോരിവിരുന്നുവാഴിക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി കൊടുപ്പിൻ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു; അവർ കൊണ്ടുപോയി കൊടുത്തു.

⁹അതു എവിടെനിന്നു എന്നു വെള്ളം കോരിയ ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരല്ലാതെ വിരുന്നുവാഴി അറിഞ്ഞില്ല. വീഞ്ഞായിത്തീർന്ന വെള്ളം വിരുന്നുവാഴി രുചിനോക്കിയാറെ മണവാളനെ വിളിച്ചു:

¹⁰എല്ലാവരും ആദ്യം നല്ല വീഞ്ഞും ലഹരി പിടിച്ചശേഷം ഇളപ്പമായതും കൊടുക്കുമാറുണ്ടു; നീ നല്ല വീഞ്ഞു ഇതുവരെയും സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെച്ചുവല്ലോ എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

¹¹യേശു ഇതിനെ അടയാളങ്ങളുടെ ആരംഭമായി ഗലീലയിലെ കാനാവിൽ വെച്ചു ചെയ്തു തന്റെ മഹത്വം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി; അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചു.
