¹²“What do you think? If a man has one hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine, go to the mountains, and seek that which has gone astray?

¹³If he finds it, most certainly I tell you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine which have not gone astray.

¹⁴Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

¹⁵“If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother.

¹⁶But if he doesn’t listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

¹⁷If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector.

¹⁸Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven.

¹⁹Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven.

²⁰For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them.”

²¹Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?”

²²Jesus said to him, “I don’t tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven.

¹²നിങ്ങൾക്കു എന്തു തോന്നുന്നു? ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്നു നൂറു ആടു ഉണ്ടു എന്നിരിക്കട്ടെ; അവയിൽ ഒന്നു തെറ്റി ഉഴന്നുപോയാൽ തൊണ്ണൂറ്റൊമ്പതിനെയും വിട്ടേച്ചു തെറ്റിപ്പോയതിനെ മലകളിൽ ചെന്നു തിരയുന്നില്ലയോ?

¹³അതിനെ കണ്ടെത്തിയാൽ തെറ്റിപ്പോകാത്ത തൊണ്ണൂറ്റമ്പതിലും അധികം അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

¹⁴അങ്ങനെതന്നേ ഈ ചെറിയവരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നതു സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിന്നു ഇഷ്ടമല്ല.

¹⁵നിന്റെ സഹോദരൻ നിന്നോടു പിഴെച്ചാൽ നീ ചെന്നു നീയും അവനും മാത്രം ഉള്ളപ്പോൾ കുറ്റം അവന്നു ബോധം വരുത്തുക; അവൻ നിന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടാൽ നീ സഹോദരനെ നേടി.

¹⁶കേൾക്കാഞ്ഞാലോ രണ്ടു മൂന്നു സാക്ഷികളുടെ വായാൽ സകല കാര്യവും ഉറപ്പാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഒന്നു രണ്ടു പേരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു ചെല്ലുക.

¹⁷അവരെ കൂട്ടാക്കാഞ്ഞാൽ സഭയോടു അറിയിക്ക; സഭയെയും കൂട്ടാക്കാഞ്ഞാൽ അവൻ നിനക്കു പുറജാതിക്കാരനും ചുങ്കക്കാരനും എന്നപോലെ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ.

¹⁸നിങ്ങൾ ഭൂമിയിൽ കെട്ടുന്നതെല്ലാം സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും കെട്ടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ ഭൂമിയിൽ അഴിക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും അഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

¹⁹ഭൂമിയിൽവെച്ചു നിങ്ങളിൽ രണ്ടുപേർ യാചിക്കുന്ന ഏതു കാര്യത്തിലും ഐകമത്യപ്പെട്ടാൽ അതു സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ എന്റെ പിതാവിങ്കൽ നിന്നു അവർക്കും ലഭിക്കും;

²⁰രണ്ടോ മൂന്നോ പേർ എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ കൂടിവരുന്നേടത്തൊക്കയും ഞാൻ അവരുടെ നടുവിൽ ഉണ്ടു എന്നും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.”

²¹അപ്പോൾ പത്രൊസ് അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: കർത്താവേ, സഹോദരൻ എത്രവട്ടം എന്നോടു പിഴെച്ചാൽ ഞാൻ ക്ഷമിക്കേണം?

²²ഏഴുവട്ടം മതിയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. യേശു അവനോടു: “ഏഴുവട്ടമല്ല, എഴു എഴുപതു വട്ടം എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

¹In that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?”

²Jesus called a little child to himself, and set him in the middle of them

³and said, “Most certainly I tell you, unless you turn and become as little children, you will in no way enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

⁴Whoever therefore humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.

⁵Whoever receives one such little child in my name receives me,

⁶but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea.

⁷“Woe to the world because of occasions of stumbling! For it must be that the occasions come, but woe to that person through whom the occasion comes!

⁸If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life maimed or crippled, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into the eternal fire.

⁹If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna of fire.

¹⁰See that you don’t despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.

¹¹For the Son of Man came to save that which was lost.

¹ആ നാഴികയിൽ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കെ വന്നു. സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും വലിയവൻ ആർ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

²അവൻ ഒരു ശിശുവിനെ അടുക്കെ വിളിച്ചു അവരുടെ നടുവിൽ നിറുത്തി;

³“നിങ്ങൾ തിരിഞ്ഞു ശിശുക്കളെപ്പോലെ ആയ്‍വരുന്നില്ല എങ്കിൽ സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തിൽ കടക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

⁴ആകയാൽ ഈ ശിശുവിനെപ്പോലെ തന്നെത്താൻ താഴ്ത്തുന്നവൻ സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും വലിയവൻ ആകുന്നു.

⁵ഇങ്ങിനെയുള്ള ശിശുവിനെ എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ കൈകൊള്ളുന്നവൻ എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു.

⁶എന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഈ ചെറിയവരിൽ ഒരുത്തന്നു ആരെങ്കിലും ഇടർച്ച വരുത്തിയാലോ അവന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽ വലിയോരു തിരിക്കല്ലു കെട്ടി അവനെ സമുദ്രത്തിന്റെ ആഴത്തിൽ താഴ്ത്തിക്കളയുന്നതു അവന്നു നന്നു.

⁷ഇടർച്ച ഹേതുവായി ലോകത്തിന്നു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; ഇടർച്ച വരുന്നതു ആവശ്യം തന്നേ; എങ്കിലും ഇടർച്ച വരുത്തുന്ന മനുഷ്യന്നു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം.

⁸നിന്റെ കയ്യോ കാലോ നിനക്കു ഇടർച്ച ആയാൽ അതിനെ വെട്ടി എറിഞ്ഞുകളക; രണ്ടു കയ്യും രണ്ടു കാലും ഉള്ളവനായി നിത്യാഗ്നിയിൽ വീഴുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ അംഗഹീനനായിട്ടോ മുടന്തനായിട്ടോ ജീവനിൽ കടക്കുന്നതു നിനക്കു നന്നു.

⁹നിന്റെ കണ്ണു നിനക്കു ഇടർച്ച ആയാൽ അതിനെ ചൂന്നെടുത്തു എറിഞ്ഞുകളക; രണ്ടു കണ്ണുള്ളവനായി അഗ്നിനരകത്തിൽ വീഴുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ ഒറ്റക്കണ്ണനായി ജീവനിൽ കടക്കുന്നതു നിനക്കു നന്നു.

¹⁰ഈ ചെറിയവരിൽ ഒരുത്തനെ തുച്ഛീകരിക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ .

¹¹സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ അവരുടെ ദൂതന്മാർ സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ മുഖം എപ്പോഴും കാണുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

¹There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job. That man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God, and turned away from evil.

²There were born to him seven sons and three daughters.

³His possessions also were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the children of the east.

⁴His sons went and held a feast in the house of each one on his birthday; and they sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.

⁵It was so, when the days of their feasting had run their course, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned, and renounced God in their hearts.” Job did so continually.

¹ഊസ് ദേശത്തു ഇയ്യോബ് എന്നു പേരുള്ളോരു പുരുഷൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ നിഷ്കളങ്കനും നേരുള്ളവനും ദൈവഭക്തനും ദോഷം വിട്ടകലുന്നവനും ആയിരുന്നു.

²അവന്നു ഏഴു പുത്രന്മാരും മൂന്നു പുത്രിമാരും ജനിച്ചു.

³അവന്നു ഏഴായിരം ആടും മൂവായിരം ഒട്ടകവും അഞ്ഞൂറു ഏർ കാളയും അഞ്ഞൂറു പെൺ കഴുതയുമായ മൃഗസമ്പത്തും ഏറ്റവും വളരെ ദാസജനവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അങ്ങനെ അവൻ സകലപൂർവ്വദിഗ്വാസികളിലും മഹാനായിരുന്നു.

⁴അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ ഔരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ ദിവസത്തിൽ താന്താന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ വിരുന്നു കഴിക്കയും തങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഭക്ഷിച്ചു പാനം ചെയ്‍വാൻ തങ്ങളുടെ മൂന്നു സഹോദരിമാരെയും ആളയച്ചു വിളിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്ക പതിവായിരുന്നു.

¹⁵When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you.

¹⁶Wash yourselves. Make yourself clean.

¹⁷Learn to do well.

¹⁸“Come now, and let’s reason together,” says Yahweh:

¹⁹If you are willing and obedient,

²⁰but if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured with the sword;

¹⁷നന്മ ചെയ്‍വാൻ പഠിപ്പിൻ ; ന്യായം അന്വേഷിപ്പിൻ ; പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനെ നേർവ്വഴിക്കാക്കുവിൻ ; അനാഥന്നു ന്യായം നടത്തിക്കൊടുപ്പിൻ ; വിധവേക്കു വേണ്ടി വ്യവഹരിപ്പിൻ .

¹⁸വരുവിൻ , നമുക്കു തമ്മിൽ വാദിക്കാം എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങൾ കുടുഞ്ചുവപ്പായിരുന്നാലും ഹിമംപോലെ വെളുക്കും; രക്താംബരംപോലെ ചുവപ്പായവിരുന്നാലും പഞ്ഞിപോലെ ആയിത്തീരും.

¹⁹നിങ്ങൾ മനസ്സുവെച്ചു കേട്ടനുസരിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ ദേശത്തിലെ നന്മ അനുഭവിക്കും.

²⁰മറുത്തു മത്സരിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലോ നിങ്ങൾ വാളിന്നിരയായ്തീരും; യഹോവയുടെ വായ് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

¹Putting away therefore all wickedness, all deceit, hypocrisies, envies, and all evil speaking,

²as newborn babies, long for the pure spiritual milk, that with it you may grow,

³if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

⁴Come to him, a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God, precious.

⁵You also as living stones are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

¹ആകയാൽ സകലദുഷ്ടതയും എല്ലാ ചതിവും വ്യാജഭാവവും അസൂയയും എല്ലാനുണയും നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു

²ഇപ്പോൾ ജനിച്ച ശിശുക്കളെപ്പോലെ രക്ഷെക്കായി വളരുവാൻ വചനം എന്ന മായമില്ലാത്ത പാൽ കുടിപ്പാൻ

³വാഞ്ഛിപ്പിൻ . കർത്താവു ദയാലു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ആസ്വദിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ.

⁵നിങ്ങളും ജീവനുള്ള കല്ലുകൾ എന്നപോലെ ആത്മികഗൃഹമായി യേശുക്രിസ്തുമുഖാന്തരം ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദമുള്ള ആത്മികയാഗം കഴിപ്പാന്തക്ക വിശുദ്ധപുരോഹിതവർഗ്ഗമാകേണ്ടതിന്നു പണിയപ്പെടുന്നു.

¹⁶Don’t you know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?

¹⁷If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are.

¹⁸Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool that he may become wise.

¹⁹For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He has taken the wise in their craftiness.”

²⁰And again, “The Lord knows the reasoning of the wise, that it is worthless.”

²¹Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours,

²²whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come. All are yours,

²³and you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.

¹⁶നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മന്ദിരം എന്നും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവു നിങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു എന്നും അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ?

²¹ആകയാൽ ആരും മനുഷ്യരിൽ പ്രശംസിക്കരുതു; സകലവും നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളതല്ലോ.

²²പൗലൊസോ, അപ്പൊല്ലൊസോ, കേഫാവോ, ലോകമോ, ജീവനോ, മരണമോ, ഇപ്പോഴുള്ളതോ, വരുവാനുള്ളതോ സകലവും നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളതു.

²³നിങ്ങളോ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നുള്ളവർ; ക്രിസ്തു ദൈവത്തിന്നുള്ളവൻ .

³⁸“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’

³⁹But I tell you, don’t resist him who is evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.

⁴⁰If anyone sues you to take away your coat, let him have your cloak also.

⁴¹Whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.

⁴²Give to him who asks you, and don’t turn away him who desires to borrow from you.

⁴³“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’

⁴⁴But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,

⁴⁵that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.

⁴⁶For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same?

⁴⁷If you only greet your friends, what more do you do than others? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same?

⁴⁸Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

³⁸കണ്ണിനു പകരം കണ്ണും പല്ലിന്നു പകരം പല്ലും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു നിങ്ങൾ കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ.

³⁹ഞാനോ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നതു: ദുഷ്ടനോടു എതിർക്കരുതു; നിന്നെ വലത്തെ ചെകിട്ടത്തു അടിക്കുന്നവന്നു മറ്റേതും തിരിച്ചുകാണിക്ക.

⁴⁰നിന്നോടു വ്യവഹരിച്ചു നിന്റെ വസ്ത്രം എടുപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവനു നിന്റെ പുതപ്പും വിട്ടുകൊടുക്ക.

⁴¹ഒരുത്തൻ നിന്നെ ഒരു നാഴിക വഴി പോകുവാൻ നിർബ്ബന്ധിച്ചാൽ രണ്ടു അവനോടുകൂടെ പോക.

⁴²നിന്നോടു യാചിക്കുന്നവനു കൊടുക്ക; വായിപ്പവാങ്ങുവാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവനെ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകളയരുതു.

⁴³കൂട്ടുകാരനെ സ്നേഹിക്ക എന്നും ശത്രുവിനെ പകെക്ക എന്നും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു നിങ്ങൾ കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ.

⁴⁴ഞാനോ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നതു: നിങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കളെ സ്നേഹിപ്പിൻ; നിങ്ങളെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നവർക്കു വേണ്ടി പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പിൻ;

⁴⁵സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിന്നു പുത്രന്മാരായി തീരേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ; അവൻ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെമേലും നല്ലവരുടെമേലും തന്റെ സൂര്യനെ ഉദിപ്പിക്കയും നീതിമാന്മാരുടെമേലും നീതികെട്ടവരുടെ മേലും മഴപെയ്യിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നുവല്ലോ.

⁴⁶നിങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവരെ സ്നേഹിച്ചാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു എന്തു പ്രതിഫലം? ചുങ്കക്കാരും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലയോ?

⁴⁷സഹോദരന്മാരെ മാത്രം വന്ദനം ചെയ്താൽ നിങ്ങൾ എന്തു വിശേഷം ചെയ്യുന്നു? ജാതികളും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലയോ?

⁴⁸ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്വർഗ്ഗീയപിതാവു സൽഗുണപൂർണ്ണൻ ആയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളും സൽഗുണപൂർണ്ണരാകുവിൻ.”
