³⁶“But no one knows of that day and hour, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

³⁷As the days of Noah were, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

³⁸For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship,

³⁹and they didn’t know until the flood came and took them all away, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

⁴⁰Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and one will be left.

⁴¹Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and one will be left.

⁴²Watch therefore, for you don’t know in what hour your Lord comes.

⁴³But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

⁴⁴Therefore also be ready, for in an hour that you don’t expect, the Son of Man will come.

⁴⁵“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has set over his household, to give them their food in due season?

⁴⁶Blessed is that servant whom his lord finds doing so when he comes.

⁴⁷Most certainly I tell you that he will set him over all that he has.

⁴⁸But if that evil servant should say in his heart, ‘My lord is delaying his coming,’

⁴⁹and begins to beat his fellow servants, and eat and drink with the drunkards,

⁵⁰the lord of that servant will come in a day when he doesn’t expect it and in an hour when he doesn’t know it,

⁵¹and will cut him in pieces and appoint his portion with the hypocrites. That is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.

²⁰Being asked by the Pharisees when God’s Kingdom would come, he answered them, “God’s Kingdom doesn’t come with observation;

²¹neither will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, God’s Kingdom is within you.”

²²He said to the disciples, “The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.

²³They will tell you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Don’t go away or follow after them,

²⁴for as the lightning, when it flashes out of one part under the sky, shines to another part under the sky, so will the Son of Man be in his day.

²⁵But first, he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.

²⁶As it was in the days of Noah, even so it will also be in the days of the Son of Man.

²⁷They ate, they drank, they married, and they were given in marriage until the day that Noah entered into the ship, and the flood came and destroyed them all.

²⁸Likewise, even as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;

²⁹but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and sulfur from the sky and destroyed them all.

³⁰It will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed.

³¹In that day, he who will be on the housetop and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away. Let him who is in the field likewise not turn back.

³²Remember Lot’s wife!

³³Whoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it.

³⁴I tell you, in that night there will be two people in one bed. One will be taken and the other will be left.

³⁵There will be two grinding grain together. One will be taken and the other will be left.”

³⁷They, answering, asked him, “Where, Lord?”

¹Now Jacob saw that there was grain in Egypt, and Jacob said to his sons, “Why do you look at one another?”

²He said, “Behold, I have heard that there is grain in Egypt. Go down there, and buy for us from there, so that we may live, and not die.”

³Joseph’s ten brothers went down to buy grain from Egypt.

⁴But Jacob didn’t send Benjamin, Joseph’s brother, with his brothers; for he said, “Lest perhaps harm happen to him.”

⁵The sons of Israel came to buy among those who came, for the famine was in the land of Canaan.

⁶Joseph was the governor over the land. It was he who sold to all the people of the land. Joseph’s brothers came, and bowed themselves down to him with their faces to the earth.

⁷Joseph saw his brothers, and he recognized them, but acted like a stranger to them, and spoke roughly with them. He said to them, “Where did you come from?”

⁸Joseph recognized his brothers, but they didn’t recognize him.

⁹Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed about them, and said to them, “You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land.”

¹⁰They said to him, “No, my lord, but your servants have come to buy food.

¹¹We are all one man’s sons; we are honest men. Your servants are not spies.”

¹²He said to them, “No, but you have come to see the nakedness of the land!”

¹³They said, “We, your servants, are twelve brothers, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan; and behold, the youngest is today with our father, and one is no more.”

¹⁴Joseph said to them, “It is like I told you, saying, ‘You are spies!’

¹⁵By this you shall be tested. By the life of Pharaoh, you shall not go out from here, unless your youngest brother comes here.

¹⁶Send one of you, and let him get your brother, and you shall be bound, that your words may be tested, whether there is truth in you, or else by the life of Pharaoh surely you are spies.”

¹⁷He put them all together into custody for three days.

¹⁸Joseph said to them the third day, “Do this, and live, for I fear God.

¹⁹If you are honest men, then let one of your brothers be bound in your prison; but you go, carry grain for the famine of your houses.

²⁰Bring your youngest brother to me; so will your words be verified, and you won’t die.”

²¹They said to one another, “We are certainly guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the distress of his soul, when he begged us, and we wouldn’t listen. Therefore this distress has come upon us.”

²²Reuben answered them, saying, “Didn’t I tell you, saying, ‘Don’t sin against the child,’ and you wouldn’t listen? Therefore also, behold, his blood is required.”

²³They didn’t know that Joseph understood them; for there was an interpreter between them.

²⁴He turned himself away from them, and wept. Then he returned to them, and spoke to them, and took Simeon from among them, and bound him before their eyes.

²⁵Then Joseph gave a command to fill their bags with grain, and to restore each man’s money into his sack, and to give them food for the way. So it was done to them.

²⁶They loaded their donkeys with their grain, and departed from there.

²⁷As one of them opened his sack to give his donkey food in the lodging place, he saw his money. Behold, it was in the mouth of his sack.

²⁸He said to his brothers, “My money is restored! Behold, it is in my sack!” Their hearts failed them, and they turned trembling to one another, saying, “What is this that God has done to us?”

¹⁰Hear Yahweh’s word, you rulers of Sodom!

¹¹“What are the multitude of your sacrifices to me?”, says Yahweh.

¹²When you come to appear before me,

¹³Bring no more vain offerings.

¹⁴My soul hates your New Moons and your appointed feasts.

¹⁵When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you.

¹⁶Wash yourselves. Make yourself clean.

¹⁷Learn to do well.

¹⁸“Come now, and let’s reason together,” says Yahweh:

¹⁹If you are willing and obedient,

²⁰but if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured with the sword;

¹⁰സൊദോം അധിപതികളേ, യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾപ്പിൻ ; ഗൊമോറജനമേ, നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ .

¹¹നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളുടെ ബാഹുല്യം എനിക്കു എന്തിന്നു എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; മുട്ടാടുകളെക്കൊണ്ടുള്ള ഹോമയാഗവും തടിപ്പിച്ച മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ മേദസ്സുംകൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു മതി വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; കാളകളുടെയോ കുഞ്ഞാടുകളുടെയോ കോലാട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരുടെയോ രക്തം എനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടമല്ല.

¹²നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വരുമ്പോൾ എന്റെ പ്രാകാരങ്ങളെ ചവിട്ടുവാൻ ഇതു നിങ്ങളോടു ചോദിച്ചതു ആർ?

¹³ഇനി നിങ്ങൾ വ്യർത്ഥമായുള്ള കാഴ്ചകൊണ്ടുവരരുതു; ധൂപം എനിക്കു വെറുപ്പാകുന്നു; അമാവാസ്യയും ശബ്ബത്തും സഭായോഗം കൂടുന്നതും--നീതികേടും ഉത്സവയോഗവും എനിക്കു സഹിച്ചുകൂടാ.

¹⁴നിങ്ങളുടെ അമാവാസ്യകളെയും ഉത്സവങ്ങളെയും ഞാൻ വെറുക്കുന്നു; അവ എനിക്കു അസഹ്യം; ഞാൻ അവ സഹിച്ചു മുഷിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

¹⁵നിങ്ങൾ കൈമലർത്തുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ എന്റെ കണ്ണു മറെച്ചുകളയും; നിങ്ങൾ എത്ര തന്നേ പ്രാർത്ഥനകഴിച്ചാലും ഞാൻ കേൾക്കയില്ല; നിങ്ങളുടെ കൈ രക്തം കൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

¹⁶നിങ്ങളെ കഴുകി വെടിപ്പാക്കുവിൻ ; നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ദോഷത്തെ എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളവിൻ ; തിന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നതു മതിയാക്കുവിൻ .

¹⁷നന്മ ചെയ്‍വാൻ പഠിപ്പിൻ ; ന്യായം അന്വേഷിപ്പിൻ ; പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനെ നേർവ്വഴിക്കാക്കുവിൻ ; അനാഥന്നു ന്യായം നടത്തിക്കൊടുപ്പിൻ ; വിധവേക്കു വേണ്ടി വ്യവഹരിപ്പിൻ .

¹⁸വരുവിൻ , നമുക്കു തമ്മിൽ വാദിക്കാം എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങൾ കുടുഞ്ചുവപ്പായിരുന്നാലും ഹിമംപോലെ വെളുക്കും; രക്താംബരംപോലെ ചുവപ്പായവിരുന്നാലും പഞ്ഞിപോലെ ആയിത്തീരും.

¹⁹നിങ്ങൾ മനസ്സുവെച്ചു കേട്ടനുസരിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ ദേശത്തിലെ നന്മ അനുഭവിക്കും.

²⁰മറുത്തു മത്സരിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലോ നിങ്ങൾ വാളിന്നിരയായ്തീരും; യഹോവയുടെ വായ് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

²¹whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God spoke long ago by the mouth of his holy prophets.

²²For Moses indeed said to the fathers, ‘The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you.

²³It will be that every soul that will not listen to that prophet will be utterly destroyed from among the people.’

²⁴Yes, and all the prophets from Samuel and those who followed after, as many as have spoken, also told of these days.

²⁵You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘All the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring.’

²⁶God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent him to you first to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your wickedness.”

²¹ദൈവം ലോകാരംഭം മുതൽ തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധപ്രവാചകന്മാർ മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിചെയ്തതു ഒക്കെയും യഥാസ്ഥാനത്താകുന്ന കാലം വരുവോളം സ്വർഗ്ഗം അവനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

²²“ദൈവമായ കർത്താവു നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരിൽനിന്നു എന്നെപ്പോലെ ഒരു പ്രവാചകനെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചുതരും; അവൻ നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്ന സകലത്തിലും നിങ്ങൾ അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കേണം.”

²³ആ പ്രവാചകന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കാത്ത ഏവനും ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ നിന്നു ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും.” എന്നു മോശെ പറഞ്ഞു വല്ലോ.

²⁴അത്രയുമല്ല ശമൂവേൽ ആദിയായി സംസാരിച്ച പ്രവാചകന്മാർ ഒക്കെയും ഈ കാലത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു.

²⁵“ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലവംശങ്ങളും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയിൽ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും.” എന്നു ദൈവം അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു അരുളി നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു ചെയ്ത നിയമത്തിന്റെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെയും മക്കൾ നിങ്ങൾ തന്നേ.

²⁶നിങ്ങൾക്കു ആദ്യമേ ദൈവം തന്റെ ദാസനായ യേശുവിനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു ഔരോരുത്തനെ അവനവന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു തിരിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ നിങ്ങളെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

¹⁰But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

¹¹For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God except God’s Spirit.

¹²But we received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.

¹³We also speak these things, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things.

¹⁴Now the natural man doesn’t receive the things of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to him; and he can’t know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

¹⁵But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is to be judged by no one.

¹⁶“For who has known the mind of the Lord that he should instruct him?” But we have Christ’s mind.

¹⁰നമുക്കോ ദൈവം തന്റെ ആത്മാവിനാൽ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ആത്മാവു സകലത്തെയും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആഴങ്ങളെയും ആരായുന്നു.

¹¹മനുഷ്യനിലുള്ളതു അവനിലെ മാനുഷാത്മാവല്ലാതെ മനുഷ്യരിൽ ആർ അറിയും? അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ ദൈവത്തിലുള്ളതു ദൈവാത്മാവല്ലാതെ ആരും ഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.

¹²നാമോ ലോകത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ അല്ല, ദൈവം നമുക്കു നല്കിയതു അറിവാനായി ദൈവത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ള ആത്മാവിനെ അത്രേ പ്രാപിച്ചതു.

¹³അതു ഞങ്ങൾ മാനുഷജ്ഞാനം ഉപദേശിക്കുന്ന വചനങ്ങളാൽ അല്ല, ആത്മാവു ഉപദേശിക്കുന്ന വചനങ്ങളാൽ തന്നേ പ്രസ്താവിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ആത്മികന്മാർക്കും ആത്മികമായതു തെളിയിക്കുന്നു.

¹⁴എന്നാൽ പ്രാകൃത മനുഷ്യൻ ദൈവാത്മാവിന്റെ ഉപദേശം കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നില്ല; അതു അവന്നു ഭോഷത്വം ആകുന്നു. ആത്മികമായി വിവേചിക്കേണ്ടതാകയാൽ അതു അവന്നു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ കഴിയുന്നതുമല്ല.

¹⁵ആത്മികനോ സകലത്തെയും വിവേചിക്കുന്നു; താൻ ആരാലും വിവേചിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല.

¹⁶കർത്താവിന്റെ മനസ്സു അറിഞ്ഞു അവനെ ഗ്രഹിപ്പിക്കാകുന്നവൻ ആർ? നാമോ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ മനസ്സുള്ളവർ ആകുന്നു.

²⁸“Now from the fig tree, learn this parable. When the branch has now become tender and produces its leaves, you know that the summer is near;

²⁹even so you also, when you see these things coming to pass, know that it is near, at the doors.

³⁰Most certainly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things happen.

³¹Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

³²“But of that day or that hour no one knows—not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

³³Watch, keep alert, and pray; for you don’t know when the time is.

³⁴“It is like a man traveling to another country, having left his house and given authority to his servants, and to each one his work, and also commanded the doorkeeper to keep watch.

³⁵Watch therefore, for you don’t know when the lord of the house is coming—whether at evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning;

³⁶lest, coming suddenly, he might find you sleeping.

³⁷What I tell you, I tell all: Watch!”

²⁸അത്തിയെ നോക്കി ഒരു ഉപമ പഠിപ്പിൻ ; അതിന്റെ കൊമ്പു ഇളതായി ഇല തളിർക്കുംമ്പോൾ വേനൽ അടുത്തു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

²⁹അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളും ഇതു സംഭവിക്കുന്നതു കാണുമ്പോൾ അവൻ അടുക്കെ വാതിൽക്കൽ തന്നേ ആയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞുകൊൾവിൻ .

³⁰ഇതു ഒക്കെയും സംഭവിക്കുവോളം ഈ തലമുറ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

³¹ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകും; എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളോ ഒഴിഞ്ഞു പോകയില്ല.

³²ആ നാളും നാഴികയും സംബന്ധിച്ചോ പിതാവല്ലാതെ ആരും, സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലെ ദൂതന്മാരും, പുത്രനും കൂടെ അറിയുന്നില്ല.

³³ആ കാലം എപ്പോൾ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ ; ഉണർന്നും പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചും കൊണ്ടിരിപ്പിൻ .

³⁴ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ വിടുവിട്ടു പരദേശത്തുപോകുമ്പോൾ ദാസന്മാർക്കും അധികാരവും അവനവന്നു അതതു വേലയും കൊടുത്തിട്ടു വാതിൽകാവൽക്കാരനോടു ഉണർന്നിരിപ്പാൻ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ തന്നേ.

³⁵യജമാനൻ സന്ധ്യെക്കോ അർദ്ധരാത്രിക്കോ കോഴിക്കുകുന്ന നേരത്തോ രാവിലെയോ എപ്പോൾ വരും എന്നു അറിയായ്ക കൊണ്ടു,

³⁶അവൻ പെട്ടെന്നു വന്നു നിങ്ങളെ ഉറങ്ങുന്നവരായി കണ്ടെത്താതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഉണർന്നിരിപ്പിൻ .

³⁷ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നതോ എല്ലാവരോടും പറയുന്നു: ഉണർന്നിരിപ്പിൻ .
